Tanya Burr Nail Polish Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

You may remember a few months back I reviewed 3 of Tanya Burr's Lip Glosses which you can read all about HERE, but today I thought I'd share my thoughts on the second half of the extremely talented Tanya Burr's Collection... her Nail Polishes. I'm pretty sure you have all heard of Tanya Burr before through the vlogging/blogging community but if you haven't she's an amazingly talented makeup artist and has become one of Youtube's hottest stars, with her easy to follow make-up tutorials teaching us 'her followers' how to replicate and wear the latest beauty trends. I've been a subscriber of Tanya's now since 2009 so when she mentioned in one of her video's that she had her very own cosmetics collection 'Lips and Nails' coming out I just knew I'd have to try it for myself and I was so happy for her, it just goes to show anything is possible and you should never give up on your dreams.
Tanya's Nail Polish collection consists of 10 nail polishes in total that come in a variety of shades from nudes, pinky tones, glamorous reds, pastels and even deep/dark vampy colours so theres certainly a shade to please everyone. Just like the lip glosses Tanya picked all the nail polish shade names herself which I think is such a nice personal touch, you can really tell a lot of hard work, thought and effort has gone into the entire collection and Tanya's personality certainly shines through.
All of the 3 Tanya Burr nail polishes I have been testing out have such a beautiful formula, I got an even, opaque look after two coats of each polish with no bubbling or streaking at all and I always find my nails look really bright, glossy and eye catching after their dry. The packaging of the nail polishes is a slight let down when you compare them to the glosses, firstly because the lid's on two of my polishes are quite difficult to remove and I found that the square black, plastic lid is actually a pretend lid and when it comes off it reveals a smaller brush holder underneath which again is hard to unscrew, I have no idea if the square black lids are suppose to come off as Mischief Managed is all still attached. Secondly you will notice that on the front of the nail polish bottles Tanya's name and a cute heart is featured  just like the front of the lip gloss packaging, the same heart  is also suppose to appear on the top of the square lids however Little Duck and Peaches & Cream have awful, tacky, off centre sticker love heart and Mischief Managed is just blank without anything at all, I will feature a picture below which will probably make more sense ha ha. Now I know packaging isn't everything but it's the little, cute things that I always love and pick up on so its a shame when a disappointment like that happens.
Anywhooo enough ranting about the packaging...Now onto the shade rundown...

Mischief Managed £5.99
My favourites out of the three is Mischief Managed, firstly I love the Harry Potter themed shade name, it's just great and secondly the colour is just incredible, it's such a glamours red shade that's perfect on short or long nails for either day or night and is suitable to wear all year round.
Peaches & Cream* £5.99
The shade Peaches and Cream is exactly what it say on the bottle, just a peachy, neutral shade with a slight coral undertone, it's quite a nice shade to wear when you want something abit played down and not so in your face.
Little Duck* £5.99
Little Duck has been on my wish list ever since Tanya revealed her collection, it's a gorgeous pastel mint shade that is perfect for the Spring/Summer months.

Despite my slight issue with the packaging I do really love these nail polishes, the formula is absolutely lovely and each polish lasts on my nails a good 4 days and then some slight wear and tear can appear at the tip of my nails, it's very rare for the Tanya Burr polish to chip on my nails and for that reason I would say the formula is very hard wearing.

What do you think of the Tanya Burr nail polishes?? What shade is your favourite?? I'd love to know!

  3. I totally understand where you're coming from with the packaging, I really dislike the double lids on varnishes. I think the packaging can make a product. Little duck is such a pretty shade!

  5. Packaging is a major factor for me so I totally get your gripes about it. I have Mischief Managed, Little Duck and a third coral one that's name I can't remember at the moment. I too love the cute names and the formula of each. So far I've only worn Little Duck but I'm going to give them all a proper test run and do a full review.

  6. I love the colours, but I completely agree with you about the packaging, it's such an important factor for me, especially when it's not a real cheapy product (I can forgive bad packaging if I've only spent £2 on the products!).

  9. The square lid came off on my polish too, but I don't mind as I find the smaller top easier to work with. I have the shade Little Duck and I love it x
