Jewel Candle Sweet Cupcake 'Ring' Candle ♥

Hey beaut's!

If you follow me on Instagram you will probably know that I'm candle obsessed, theres nothing better than a cosy night in, watching movies with candles twinkling in the darkness and making your entire house smell amazing is there? Well... what if I told you that you could have all of that and find a beautifully sparkling jewel hidden within the wax itself too.... Oh yes Jewel Candle have that covered!

Jewel Candle are a company which sell candles, all of which contain a pretty 'jewel' hidden within them in the form of a pair of earrings or a ring depending on which size candle you purchase, eekkk what an exciting concept! The Earring Candles are priced at £16.95 each and contain a pair of earrings valued between £10 and £250. The larger Ring Candles are £24.95 each and contain a ring also valued between £10 and £250. The Jewel Candles are presented in weighty glass, pillar style jar's and come complete with a suction lid, I personally love pillar style candles because they seem to burn evenly meaning they last that bit longer and there's no wasted candle wax woohoo, these style of jars are also great to use for storage afterwards, I'm going to use mine for either makeup brushes or cotton wool pads.
The Jewel Candles have a variety of scents to choose from such as Cookies and Cream, Pink Cherry, Passion Fruit and that's just to name a few, the scent I opted for this time around was Sweet Cupcake* a sweet, sugary, warming vanilla scent with a hint of caramel added in there too for good measure, it literally smells delicious! When it came to burning my candle for the very first time and getting operation 'find the jewel' underway I was surprised at how quick the gorgeous scent made its way throughout my house, it seemed like it took seconds which is always a sign of a good quality candle! Because I went for the sweet cupcake scent it did cross my mind that it might be abit too sweet but no.. it's not sickly or heavy at all and even my boyfriend said how amazing it made our house smell, to top it off even when you blow out the candle the scent lingers in the house for a good few hours so overall scent wise its blooming amazing!
When it came to retrieving my jewel I was very impatient, I cant remember the amount of times I kept getting up to have a look to see if I could see it ha ha but it's all part of the fun and excitement isn't it. It's said that each candle will take around 10-15 hours before it's burnt enough so that the jewel can be removed and I would say that's pretty accurate, it took me a good few days of burning before I could see my ring, these Jewel Candles certainly don't burn away quick. When you start to see the heat protective silver foil package poking out of the wax that means it's time to run and get your tweezers or a spoon at the ready he he, I pulled my little foil package out very easily and popped in on top of a piece of kitchen towel just to cool down for a minute or so, then I simply unwrapped the foil and the plastic wrapper that was underneath the foil to be greeted by a gorgeous 925 Sterling Silver ring with a diamond shaped jewel in the middle and tiny diamante stones all around it, and it fits perfectly too woohoo! I'm not exactly sure how much the ring is worth because it doesn't contain a sticker price because Jewel Candle aren't allowed to disclose this any more but of course you can check by taking it to a jewellers, personally it doesn't really bother or effect me knowing the price because I love it no matter how affordable/expensive it is.
Overall I'm highly impressed with Jewel Candles concept, the candle and the ring itself, I love it all! The large Ring Candles have a burning time of around 130-150 hours which is amazing considering the candle is just under £25 and your getting a pretty jewel within that price too, and the fact that the candle burns so cleanly and evenly with minimum wastage really impressed me, the wax literally moves down with the wick and never sticks to the sides woohoo. All in all the Sweet Cupcake candle feels and smells very luxurious, expensive and special and if your a candle lover and have a soft spot for pretty jewels you will love Jewel Candle!

The lovelies over at Jewel Candle have kindly given me a discount code for all of my beautiful, candle loving readers, all you have to do is pop 'hay20' into the promotional code box and you'll receive a 20% discount. 9. That's such a cute idea! haha. I would have never thought of such a concept. It's a real patience-tester, I'll give you that. =) The trinket you got looks really cute too, not very luxe but sweet for a casual day out. Also, it's a good conversation starter: "Did you know I had to burn half a candle for this ring?" haha
