Pampering My Skin With Palmer's!

Hey beaut's!

Keeping my body nourished is a must for me, I have super dry skin so theres nothing my skin loves more than a huge dose of moisture and these beauties from Palmer's have been doing just that! Palmer's is a brand I've used for years, in fact my Mum even used to slather their lotions and potions on me when I was little and the incredible scent of their products is so nostalgic to me!
The Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula is made with fair trade coconut oil and contains no parabens, no mineral oil, no gluten, no dyes, no sulfates and no phthates, theres also the addition of vitamin E so in a nutshell its very kind and good for the skin! All of Palmer's moisturising products claim to moisturise for 24 hours and actually I 100% agree with this, I can seriously feel the moisturiser on my skin the next day but not in a tacky-sticky way, its quite hard to describe but I always apply my moisturisers before bed in the evenings and my skin still feels super soft and nourished the next evening before I apply my next layer! Scent wise..... my oh my it's literally coconut heaven! The scent just reminds me of summer holidays and beach's, it's delicate but some yummy!

So lets have a quick run down of the products I've been testing...
Palmer's Coconut Oil Body Lotion* - If you want a great all rounder body lotion then this is one of the best you can get! The consistency of this lotion is super creamy and rubs into the skin in seconds without feeling tacky and afterwards my skin feels sooo soft! The lotion also smells incredibly good and the scent really lingers on my skin which is just lovely!
Palmer's Coconut Oil Body Oil* - If your more into body oils to moisturise instead of a lotion then fear not because Palmer's have one in their coconut formula too! I must admit body oils are something I'm slightly scared of, they always make me think I'll look greasy AF but this one by Palmer's may have converted me! I must admit the oil does feel a little greasy when I first start rubbing it in but afterwards my skin feels heavenly and it actually looks so glowy and radiant, perfect for after holidays when you've got a tan going on! Also if you want to make a highlighting body oil finely crumble up an old highlighter you may no longer use and mix it within the oil, you'll be surprised how amazing it makes your skin look.
If your after faking a tan for the rest of the summer then the Palmer's Coconut Sugar Body Scrub* and the Natural Bronze Gradual Tan* are the perfect duo. The scrub is formulated with raw coconut sugar which is super fine and preps the skin perfectly without being to harsh or abrasive, this is perfect for me as I'm a sensitive soul! Once my skin is smooth and polished it time to slather on the tan and my preferred choice will always be a gradual tanning product, I'm so scared of properly fake tanning in case I turn orange so a gradual one is just about as much as I can cope with! The Palmer's  Natural Bronze Gradual Tan is literally perfect for me, I apply it each evening just like a body lotion and then the next morning I'm looking super tanned and nourished! I actually got amazing results after just one use of this so I apply it every other evening now to keep topped up!
Palmer's Body Firming Sheet Mask* - When I saw that Palmer's had a body mask I was like wait what.... I mean I love a good face mask but a body mask is something else hey! The Palmer's Body Firming Sheet Mask actually comes with two rectangular sheets that are soaked in product which you can place on your hips, thighs, upper arms or anywhere you fancy toning really. When I popped the masks on I did feel a slight cool, tingling sensation which was actually quite satisfying for me, and after 10 minutes my thighs definitely felt and looked smoother and moisturised! I definitely want to buy more to try on other areas of my body now!
Palmer's Anti- Oxidant Firming Lotion* - Sticking with the firming theme Palmer's actually have a new coconut oil Anti- Oxidant Firming Lotion and I couldn't wait to try this! The formula of this lotion contains marine seaweed extract and caffeine which helps stimulate circulation and ease fluid retention, so in turn it's going to naturally smooth and tone! I've been using this for around two weeks now and I've just started to see a slight difference in my problem areas (my thighs), you definitely don't get instant results here but if your willing to keep up on applications then I bet you will notice that your skin is much smoother and firmer like I have!

You can find all of the Palmer's products HERE.

Garnier Ultimate Beauty Oil Lotion | Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Garnier seem to be on fire at the moment with their new product releases proving to be a massive hit, not only have I become obsessed with their new Ultimate Blends range of shampoo and conditioners but I'm in love with their Beauty Oil range too, and in particular their Oil Beauty Nourishing Lotion! I actually received a sample of the Beauty Oil Lotion in my May Glossybox and after giving it a go and using up my sample I quickly became a fan and had to buy myself the full size bottle pronto!

Now if you read my blog regularly you will know I'm not partial to a body oil in fact I usually hate body oils... But... Garnier's Beauty Oil Lotion is a body oil with a twist... it's in lotion form! What makes this stand out from the rest is the fact that this oil-infused nourishing lotion is enhanced by the power of 4 beautifying oils, Argan, Macadamia, Almond & Rose which combined claim to visibly improve and perfect the look of your skin, with the most driest skins in mind! Also as this lotion contains Almond Oil it can be very beneficial to eczema suffers, which I always suffer with in the summer months.
The Beauty Oil Lotion's formula is gorgeous and probably one of the best body lotion formula's I've tried and my goodness I've tried alot, what makes it so nice is the fact that it's so lightweight and feels so silky as your rubbing it into your body, it's in no way oily or greasy which I favour and is perfect for those who like the benefit of a body oil but hate the oily feeling like I do. As for the lotions scent... It smells amazing! It's quite heavily scented and rather musky too and really reminds me of one of my all time favourite perfumes Ghost Deep Night, the scent lingers for ages too, I always apply the lotion at night before bed and the scent is still lingering on my skin the next day! The moisturising quality of this amazing lotion is lovely, it absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy/sticky feeling on the skin it works well on very dry skin and has also cleared my eczema up a treat without any stinging or further irritation.

Overall I absolutely love this stuff and haven't been this impressed by a body oil come lotion ever! It's such a nice after shower lotion and even if I apply this in the mornings it's not the sort of lotion that has you sat in your towel for ages waiting for it to absorb so that you can get dressed, it literally absorbs instantly and leaves you skin super soft, moisturised, looking radiant and smelling incredible. The only downside is that if you have nut allergies you probably wont want to slather this all over your skin so it's not a lotion that would suit all in that respect.

I picked my 250ml bottle up in Superdrug when it was on offer for £3.22 but it's original price is £4.99, they also have a bigger 400ml bottle and a Beauty Oil Body Scrub too which I'm dying to try he he.

Have you tried the Garnier Beauty Oil range yet beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!

Birchbox January 2014

Hey girlie's!!!

It's that time again... Birchbox time!!! It's the first Birchbox of the New Year so I couldn't wait to receive it. This months theme is all about 'Tiny Tweaks' where by they suggest breaking down our resolutions into bite-size pieces, and focus on some small daily changes starting with our beauty routine.

So lets see the little treasures I received inside my January Birchbox...

Philip Kingsley Moisture Balancing Conditioner 20ml
I must admit I do love receiving haircare products in beauty boxes and this Philip Kingsley Conditioner claims to deliver moisture without weighing down your hair, leaving it shiny, smooth, strong and tangle-free, sounds pretty good right? The full size Conditioner retails for £18.00.

Benefit The POREfessional 7.5ml
I have to admit this is the only product that has really saved the box for me this month. I've been waiting to try the Benefit POREfessional award-winning primer for ages but I didn't want to splurge in case it wasnt for and be stuck with the full size. The primer claims to magically erase pores and leave your skin velvety. If it does what it says on the tin and I like it I will defiantly be buying the full size, which retails for £24.50.

Rodial Glamtox Night 15ml
I must admit I've never heard of this brand before but I'm going to give it a whirl. It basically has a super-hydrating formula that you use before bed that soothes your complexion and plumps up fine lines. The full size retails for a whopping £75.00 so I'm expecting good things from this little sample.

Vasanti Detox Nutrient-Rich Purifying Facial Cleanser 20ml
I'm really into cleanser's so I'm sure I'll use this little sample up quickly. It claims to wash away toxins, not to mention every last trace of your foundation and will help brighten and refresh your skin. The full size retails for £18.00

Premae Anatomy Nutrients Instant Renewal Body Oil 20ml
I probably wont get any use out of this body oil as I'm really not a fan of body oils, if it would have been a hair oil, things would of been different ha ha. The oil claims to moisturise, tone and detoxify your skin with its natural, allergy tested formula. The full size retails for £9.50.

Lifestyle Extra - Itsu Miso Soup 25g Sachet
This month I had just the 1 lifestyle extra in the form of a soup, the soup is full of antioxidants and amino acids and only contains 42 calories, perfect for anyone on a new year health kick. 3 sachets of this soup will set you back £2.25.

Overall I think this is another average box from Birchbox, there was no full size products which is disappointing and the samples haven't really blown me away either to be honest, I also noticed that this month there was no draw string bag??? They have replaced it with a piece of pink tissue paper which I thought was crappy if I'm honest. I'm seriously considering switching back to Glossybox again as the reviews Ive read since un-subscribing last October have all been pretty positive again. Hhmmm could this be my last Birchbox???

What did you think to this months Birchbox beaut's??? I'd love to know!!!

Don't forget you can enter my 500 follower GIVEAWAY here to be in with a chance of winning a MAC lipstick and a MAC eyeshadow!!!
