Simple Water Boost Hydrating Gel Face Cream Review

Hey beaut's!

I absolutely adore Simple skincare, I'm quite a sensitive soul so whenever I'm looking for skincare I really have to take into consideration my sensitivity and Simple always comes up trumps for me! Back in March I was on the hunt for a new high street moisturiser that worked well but didn't break the bank, so when I saw that Simple had a new Water Boost range I quickly picked up their Hydrating Gel Cream to whack on my face and try!

The Simple Water Boost range is designed to reverse the 5 signs of skin dehydration; dryness, roughness, tightness, dullness and dehydration lines. My skin has always been super dry until this year, it's pretty combination these days with dry patches on my cheeks and around my nose and a slightly oily t-zone so I was slightly worried that this Hydrating Gel Cream could be a bit too much for my skin but actually it's not and works an absolute treat!
The gel-cream has a super lightweight and refreshing formula that soaks into my skin almost instantly when I put it on leaving my skin feeling soft, smooth, dewy and nourished, it isn't greasy or sticky at all and theres no artificial perfumes or colours within the formula or harsh chemicals making it super gentle on the most sensitive skin like mine. I will say that a little bit of this goes a long way, the first time I used it I squeezed a generous blob out which was far to much, a pea sized amount works well for me!
Since using the Hydrated Gel Cream I've noticed that the dry patches on my cheeks have cleared up completely and it creates such a nice base for my makeup to sit on top of, theres Glycerin within the formula which acts as a bit of a primer and my makeup really does sit lovely over it! I haven't had any break outs at all since using this gel-cream and generally my skins looked and felt very clear, moisturised and supple. If your looking for a new daily moisturiser I couldn't recommend this one enough, it's super moisturising, gentle, leaves me with a dewy base and feels so refreshing in the mornings! I'm now on my second tube of this gorgeous stuff and cant see myself changing any time soon, I have a feeling this will be an incredible moisturiser during the colder months too!

You can find the Simple Water Boost Hydrating Gel Face Cream in Superdrug HERE for £4.65 right now as it's on offer!
