Autumn Spice Cupcake Recipe!

 Hey beaut's!

I'm fully aboard the Autumn train, I'm literally obsessed with all things autumn at the moment and I just couldn't resist getting the spices back out and whipping up something yummy and seasonal! If your like spice cakes or gingerbread men then your going to love the taste of these beauties, I'm certainly going to be making a lot of batches of these that's for sure!

What You Will Need For The Cupcakes
75g unsalted butter
125ml black treacle
125ml milk
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
175g plain flour
100g caster sugar
1tbsp cocoa powder
1 1/4tsp ground ginger
1tsp ground cinnamon
1/2tsp ground allspice
1/2tsp ground nutmeg
1/4tsp salt
1tsp bicarbonate soda

What You Will Need For The Buttercream
200g unsalted butter
450g icing sugar
1tsp vanilla extract
splash of milk

How To - Cupcakes
* Pre-heat your oven to gas mark 4 /180 and line a muffin tin with your cupcake cases.
* In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and the sugar with an electric whizzer until well combined, then add in the egg and egg yolk along with the treacle and mix again!
3. Then add in your flour, all of the spices, bicarbonate soda, salt and mix until you get a batter start to form, then add in the milk loosen things up so you get a silky batter.
4. Pop a tablespoon of the cupcake batter into each cupcake case and bake in the oven for around 18-20 minutes or until the top of the cupcakes are springy to the touch, then transfer onto a wire rack to cool.

How To - Buttercream
* In a large bowl, beat the butter until it becomes super light in colour and whippy, then start adding the icing sugar slowly to avoid the dreaded icing sugar cloud and mix again until combined. As usual if the buttercream is too stiff then pop in some milk until you get your desired constancy.
* Pipe or spoon the icing on top of the cupcakes and decorate with some sprinkles if you wish, I actually crumbled up one of the cupcakes to use as sprinkles, and voila!
Whats your favourite thing to bake at this time of the year beaut's? I'd love to know!

Pumpkin Spiced Latte Candle By Kiss Air Candles

Hey beaut's!

It's officially my favourite time of the year again... Autumn!! Yayyyyyy! As you can probably tell I get stupidly exciting for this time of year, I just love the cold crisp days, autumn leaves, hot chocolates, knitwear, boots, pumpkin carving and of course spicy/warming candles, which brings me nicely onto the candle I've been burning away recently by Kiss Air Candles, I think your going to love this one ladies and gents!

Kiss Air Candles literally sell everything that will make your house smell incredible, theres wax melts, wax burners, tea lights, candles and reed defusers with so many scents to choose from. What I love about Kiss Air Candles is that all of their candles are made in small batches using natural soyabean (vegetable) wax, cotton wicks and the finest fragrances that are all vegan friendly as well as paraben and phthalate free. These raw materials work together to give the candles a cleaner burn (no soot here!), fabulous scent throw and an impressive burn time.
I've been giving Kiss Airs Pumpkin Spice Latte candle a whirl and if your looking for something autumnal then look no further as this candle smells of all things autumnal in a jar! The fragrance itself is made up of a creamy, spicy mix of nutmeg and ginger with pumpkin and caramel on a sweet buttermilk base.....honestly it smells good enough to eat, just like an autumnal cake or sweet treat, it's divine! For me this scent has the perfect balance of sugary sweetness and warming spiciness, it creates such a cosy night in atmosphere too, so it's perfect for those Hocus Pocus evenings! As for the scent throw...it's very good and managed to fill the entire house very quickly and still lingered when it had been blown out, but it isn't an over powering scent or sickly which is good! The candle has 35 hour worth of burn time which is pretty good for a smaller sized candle, and I love the fact it comes in a glass jar with a black screw lid so you can re-use it after your candle is burnt out!

If your looking for some new candles this autumn then I cant recommend Kiss Air Candles enough, they have an entire autumn range out at the moment and the Toffee Apple scent is next on my wish list, I mean doesn't that just sound lush!

You can buy the Pumpkin Spiced Latte Candle HERE for £9.00.
