Real Techniques Your Picks 'Berlin' Makeup Brush Set Review

Hey beaut's!

You may have seen in my Boxing Day sales haul (HERE) that I picked up the bargain of all bargains when I spotted the Limited Edition Real Techniques Your Picks 'Berlin' Makeup Brush Set for just £9.99 in Superdrug, so today I thought I'd review it for you all .

The Real Techniques Your Picks Berlin Set consists of five fan favourite must-have brushes, theres a Buffing Brush, Contour Brush, Stippling Brush, Deluxe Crease Brush and a Base Shadow Brush, all of which come with the limited edition and fan voted for printed street art handles inspired by graffiti, murals and paintings in Berlin.
Each brush within the set really is an essential for me during my everyday makeup application, there all such versatile brushes and can be used with cream, liquid and powder products. Theres three face brushes within the set starting with the Buffing Brush, this is ideal for full coverage application of liquid and cream foundation, but to be honest I pretty much use this brush to buff everything in from my finishing powder, blush and even bronzer. Then theres the Contour Brush, this is the perfect size to add shade and light into the face, it fits into the hollows of my cheeks perfectly to really sculpt them out and even applies highlight with ease (PS - it's great at buffing concealer in too). The Stippling Brush is great for a lighter coverage of foundation, it has duo fibre bristles that work together to create a softer but perfect look, I love this brush for applying cream blushers and bronzers too. Onto the two eye brushes in the set which I have to say are my favourite eye brushes from Real Techniques, theres a Deluxe Crease Brush which I use in so many ways, it's a great brush for blending and buffing in cream eye shadows and is brilliant at blending out powder eyeshadow through the crease too, I've also used this brush for blending in concealer and contouring/highlighting smaller areas of the face, it's a super useful brush. The final brush in the collection is the Base Shadow Brush, this is the perfect brush to pack colour on your lids but can also be used for blending eyeshadow work and it fits lovely under the eyes too.
All of the Real Techniques brushes in this Limited Edition Your Picks Berlin Set have light weight aluminium handle's making them really easy to use and have a rubber section at the bottom of the handle for extra grip and control, and all of the brushes are 100% cruelty free too and are made of synthetic fibres which is a major plus.

Overall I'm so happy I managed to pick this set up, it was such a steel to get them all for just £9.99 considering the Stippling Brush is £10.99 alone in Superdrug. My Superdrug store actually still have some of the sets left however they are sold out online so if your quick you may be able to nab a set still in store.

What do you think of the Real Techniques Berlin design beaut's? I'd love to know!

January Sales Haul

Hey beaut's!

Every year I always look forward to seeing what beauty bits and bobs go into the Boxing Day sales, I'm always on the hunt for that beauty bargain and this year I got a couple things that I was super chuffed with so I thought I'd to a little haul and share them with you all.

Lush
The one sale that I really look forward to every year is Lush, for the past few years I've always been on the computer by 9am ready to buy all the festive goodies at an amazing 50% off, however I'm sure I'm not alone in saying this - but just like last year and the year before placing a sale order with Lush was a nightmare! They had me in a que of 32'000 people all day and I never got on the site until around 6pm and by that time most things had sold out, never the less I did manage to place a very small order stocking up on more Snow Fairy shower gel and a couple of my favourite bath bombs that they had left.

Superdrug
From Superdrug I managed to pick up quite a few bargains starting with the Tanya Burr Its Cold Outside Lip Gloss, Blush & Highlight Set which was only £2.99 reduced from £11.00 which I thought was such a steal. I also managed to grab a couple of things from Zoella's Christmas range too, I stocked up on another Hungry Hands Hand Cream because I adore it so much and it was just £1.99 reduced from £6.00, I then decided to pick up her Deck The Baubles Bubble Bath to try which was £1.49 reduced down from £6.00. The final bargain I picked up is probably my favourite out of this entire haul and that's the Real Techniques Your Picks Makeup Brush Set which was just £9.99 reduced from £19.99. This limited edition collection includes five of the best Real Techniques brushes and comes with printed street art handles inspired by graffiti, murals and paintings in Berlin.

Boots
Finally from Boots I did pick quite a few things up however most of them where gifts for my Mums birthday and as my lovely Mum reads my blog I cant share them with you all however I did treat myself to my favourite Yankee Candle 'Christmas Cookie', amazingly it was only £10.99 for the large jar which I just couldn't pass up.

What bargains did you get in the sales beaut's? I love to know!

2016 Beauty Favourites

Hey beaut's!

As it's a new year I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and do a little round up of a few beauty products that have either become favourites of mine or staple products that I repurchased over and over during 2016. To be honest I could of put silly amounts of products in this post as I really have loved a heck of a lot of beauty products in 2016 but here are a handful that I have chosen....

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette
The first of my 2016 favourites was a no brainer really, it just had to be the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette. I received this palette back in August as a birthday gift from my boyfriend and I haven't looked back since. Each eyeshadow within the quad is stunning and works beautifully in all aspects, it's definitely given me the Charlotte Tilbury bug that's for sure.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I think the ever so popular Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer will be in my yearly favourites every year because it's just so flipping good and I cant ever be without it in my makeup bag. It has such a gorgeous creamy texture that blends out beautifully and provides a medium plus/full coverage without looking cakey, it covers my blemishes, redness and dark under eye circles with ease and lasts all day without the need to touch up, in a word its 'brillaint'!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara was a huge hit with me 2016, it's much like Benefits Roller Lash and gives me so much length and separation but also volumises and defines at the same time, I love it! I've also found that this is the only high street mascara that doesn't smudge or flake around my eye area or brow bone, I've literally repurchased tubes of the stuff he he.

Revlon Color Stay Foundation Normal to Dry
Revlon's Color Stay Foundation is one of my all times favourites, it creates such a lightweight looking/feeling base but covers and evens everything out instantly, I also love that they have the two finishes for different skin concerns, I wish more company's would do that.

Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipstick in Chauffeur
The reason that Makeup Revolutions Rose Gold Lipstick in Chauffeur has made it into my 2016 favourites is not only because I adore the formula, but it's the first ever nude lipstick that I've found that suits my skin tone, it's stunning and as you can see I'm running very low.

Collection #BlushandGlow Palette
As you can see my Collection #BlushandGlow Palette is well loved by me, it contains a matte bronzer, matte pink blusher, shimmering pink blusher and a neutral highlighter all of which work amazingly well and blend out beautifully, and it's only £4.99 which is incredible!

Barry M Mist and Fix Setting Spray in Dewy Finish
Setting sprays are something that I've really been testing out during 2016, I've tried pricey ones and more affordable ones but the Barry M Mist and Fix Makeup Setting Spray in Dewy Finish is the best I've tried so far, I have a full review HERE if you'd like to know more.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
Skincare is something I've really gotten into this past year, I think I've realised how important it is and something that has changed my cleansing life is the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. I've noticed such an improvement in my skins appearance since using the Cleanse and Polish, my dry patches are non existent, my skins completely clear and super soft, it's just incredible and I was so happy to get a bottle of the orange and clove scent for Christmas because I had nearly ran out.

What where your 2016 beauty favourites beaut's? I'd love to know!
