Is The Morphe Highlight and Contour Sponge Worth The Hype??

Hey beaut's!

It's been a while, this is my first post of 2020 so happy new year guys and gals...arhh I cant believe we're now in a new decade, pure craziness! Anyway just after the festivities I did post my 'What I Got For Christmas' blog post and within that post I shared that I had received the Morphe Highlight and Contour Sponge, I had wanted to try this best selling sponge for ages and thankfully my Mum bought it for me bless her! So is it really worth the hype?? Lets find out!
I have to jump straight in and say this little sponge by Morphe has been a complete game changer for me, it bounces on and blends my foundation and concealer with complete ease without leaving any streaks and makes my base makeup look so smooth, lightweight and natural and I never have any problems with my makeup looking cakey or going cakey during the day when I use this little beauty. The sponge itself is quite firm when dry but gets more bouncy when it's wet, I will admit though it does still have a slight firmness to it when it's wet, it's not what I'd call light and foamy but it's not rock solid either - it's somewhere in between, it feels more durable if that makes sense and like it will last longer! The shape of the sponge is absolutely amazing for all area's of the face, the roundness at one end makes it so easy to use and blends your cream and liquid products in like a dream and then the flatter almost triangular end is great for getting into the harder to reach area's around your nose, eyes and brows, also if your fond of the 'baking' trend the sharper end of the sponge works incredibly well because you can stripe on loose powder under your contour and under your eyes really precisely.
In my opinion the Morphe  Highlight and Contour Sponge is definitely worth they hype and I can see why it's a best seller, my foundation and concealer looks so lightweight and flawless when I use my sponge - which is everyday without fail he he - it's also affordable at just £8.00 making it much cheaper than the original beauty blenders and only a couple of pounds more than the Real Techniques sponge! I feel like the Morphe sponge is really robust too, most of my cheaper sponges rip and tear so easily but I cant really see this happening to my Morphe one anytime soon! Overall I LOVE LOVE LOVE this sponge, so thank you so much Mother for buying it for me for Christmas!

Have you tried the Morphe Highlight and Contour Sponge beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

The Original Beauty Blender...Is It Really Worth The Hype?

Hi beaut's!

Surprisingly I'm extremely new to the original beauty blender, for years I've seen so much hype and love surrounding it but in all honestly I was always put off because of the price. I would say to myself  'surely the cheaper alternatives are going to do the exact same thing' and I've used those cheaper beauty sponges for years without many grumbles, I mean I've stumbled across a couple that are rock solid and feel like their punching me in the face when I use them but in general I've had good experiences with cheaper sponges and didn't think I really needed the original one, that was until I used the original beauty blender and wow....that was it, I was in love!
The gorgeous hot pink egg shaped sponge has been a complete game changer for me, it bounces on and blends my foundation and concealer with complete ease without leaving any streaks and makes my base makeup look so smooth, lightweight and natural and I never have any problems with my makeup looking cakey or going cakey during the day when I use my beauty blender. The sponge itself is so foamy and soft and even when it's wet and volumises it keeps that light airy softness and doesn't feel firm at all which I love, it's honestly the nicest feeling sponge I've ever tried! The shape of the sponge is amazing for all area's of the face, the top pointed tip is fine enough that it can blend around the small areas of my face like around my nose and eye contours without any effort needed, that pointed tip is also great if your fond of the 'baking' trend because it can stripe on loose powder under your contour and under your eyes really well too. The quality of the beauty blender really shines through too, my cheaper sponges ALWAYS tear or rip somehow but my beauty blender hasn't got a single mark on it so far. I've also noticed that it doesn't seem to absorb my foundation as much like my other sponges have which means less wasted product, hurrah!
Sorry to my other sponges but I've definitely been converted over to the original beauty blender, the overall look of my base makeup after using the sponge is so much smoother and natural looking than when I use my other sponges and it's so quick at blending everything in too. No matter what I use whether it's foundation, concealer, primer, powder, matte finish, dewy finish, you name it this sponge leaves that stunning finish every time! If you haven't tried a beauty blender yet then I think you need to, I mean after all it hasn't earned it's amazing reputation for nothing and I can definitely see why its so well loved now!

You can find the The Original Beauty Blender* for £17.00 HERE.

Nanshy Marvel 4 in 1 Makeup Blending Sponge Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Beauty blenders and complexion spongers are more popular now than ever and I must admit I've always been a fan, the promise of naturally flawless skin after using a beauty sponge to apply your makeup always lures me in and I've tried so many over last few years. The latest beauty sponge that's been added to my collection is the Nanshy Marvel 4 in 1 Makeup Blending Sponge*, I was super excited to try this particular sponge because I'm a huge Nanshy Makeup Brush fan so I expected very good things from this little beauty and that's exactly what I got.
The Nanshy Marvel 4 in 1 Makeup Blending Sponge (£5.95) is a multi purpose makeup sponge that can be used with liquid, cream and powder makeup and is latex free, non-allergenic and odour free. The sponge along with your chose product is said to work together to brighten your complexion, create build-able airbrush-like coverage, hide imperfections and achieve the smoothest finish imaginable, ohhhhh

To use the sponge all you have to do is either run or submerge it under water making sure you squeeze out any excess water, you only want the sponge to be damp not soaking wet, you can also use a water spray bottle or some sort of fixing/primer spray the choice is yours. Once the sponge is damp is remains super soft and lightweight and well... spongy! The sponge is made up of a micro-pore formulation, that allows the sponge to remain damp throughout the application, and stops the sponge picking up too much product and wasting it.
What separates Nanshy's offering from your average beauty sponge it that it has a 4 in 1 ability, you can really tell a lot of effort and hard work has gone into the development of this little sponge. The first way you can you use the Nanshy Marvel Sponge is with the pointed tip, this is ideal for using with your concealer to cover any imperfections, and perfect for blending in the inner corners of the eyes and any other smaller harder to reach areas. The second way the sponge can be used is with it's flat edge, the 45 degree-angle is perfect for any wide-flat stippling with foundation or concealer and is great for working/blending product on contours around the eyes and nose, another way to use the flat edge is to apply cream/powder blush and setting powder. The third way to use the sponge is by using it on it's side where you can either roll on or press of your foundation or setting powder. The last feature is the rounded bottom, this makes blending in large areas a lot easier. The final result is that your makeup honestly looks very lightweight, flawless, even and totally on point, I'm in absolute love with this sponge which really speaks volumes considering how much I love to use my makeup brushes.
My biggest tip on washing and keeping your Nanshy Marvel 4 in 1 Makeup Blending Sponge squeaky clean is actually by popping it the washing machine, I've been doing this with all my beauty/makeup sponges for years and its the only way that they actually look brand new again. I would suggest not putting it in the wash with anything that has zips or decorative bit's on as you don't want to rip or snag the sponge, I just throw mine in with my towels or bedding and it works an absolute treat.

Have you tried the Nanshy Marvel 4 in 1 Makeup Blending Sponge?? What did you think?? I'd love to know beaut's.
