Kinder Bueno Cupcakes

Hey beaut's!

If your a Kinder Bueno lover then these cupcakes will be right up your street, their made up of a gorgeous chocolate sponge with a chocolate hazelnut buttercream and finished off with lots of different Kinder goodies. You can also mix chopped hazelnuts into the cupcake batter, this really intensifies the chocolate hazelnut flavour, I've made these before and will pop the measurements you need down below, however this time I skipped the chopped hazelnuts as I didn't have any left over but they still taste just as amazing!

What You Will Need For The Kinder Bueno Cupcakes
100g Self Raising Flour
25g Cocoa Powder
125g Caster Sugar
1/4 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
140g Stork or Unsalted Butter
2 Large Free-Range Eggs or 3 Medium
1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
50g Roasted Chopped Hazelnuts (optional)

What You Will Need For The Icing + Decorating
100g Unsalted Butter
150g Nutella
225g Icing Sugar
3-4 tbsp Milk
A Selection Of Kinder Bueno Goodies

How To - Kinder Bueno Cupcakes
1. Firstly pre-heat your oven to gas mark 4 /180 and line a muffin tin with your cupcake cases.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream your butter and sugar together and then whack in the rest of your cupcake ingredients and mix until smooth with a hand whizzer. This is when you'd pop in your chopped hazelnuts too if you've chosen to add them.
3. Pop a heaped tablespoon of the cupcake batter into each cupcake case and bake in the oven for around 15-18 minutes or until the top of the cupcakes are springy to the touch, then transfer onto a wire rack to cool.

How To - Icing
1. In a large bowl, beat the butter and the Nutella together until it becomes smooth and silky, then start adding the icing sugar slowly to avoid the dreaded icing sugar cloud and again mix until combined. You will notice that the buttercream becomes really thick and almost dry looking at this stage and needs loosening up to become more spreadable so just add in a tablespoon of milk at a time until you get the perfect consistency.
2. Pipe or spoon the icing on top of the cupcakes and finish how you like, I used broken up Kinder Bueno bars, the Kinder Hippo's and the Kinder mini chocolate bars but you could also use more chopped hazelnuts if you wish or sprinkles, and voila!
And there you have it, super yummy Kinder Bueno cupcakes that are so easy to make! Do let me know if you give these a go beaut's!
