Hey beaut's!
A few weeks ago I was looking for a new foundation to try and after watching Jeffree Star's full face of ELF video he had me totally sold on the Elf Flawless Finish Foundation, so I popped down to Superdrug to pick the foundation up and ended up buying the 16 Hour Camo Concealer as well whilst I was there! I had no idea what to expect from either the foundation or concealer, I know their meant to be pretty good and the foundation is actually Elf's best seller but I'm totally new to Elf so I was going into this blind so to speak, but I was more or less blown away instantly by both the foundation and the concealer and they have quickly become favourites of mine that I cant live without in my makeup routine!
So lets start with the Flawless Finish Foundation, first off the shade range is pretty impressive - theres around 40 shades that you can buy online but the Elf stand in my Superdrug had about 20 shades which I still think is pretty impressive, I also love how the shade range comes in fair, light, medium, tan, deep, and rich shades and also cool, neutral and warm undertones, the odds of you finding your perfect shade are pretty high which is pretty unheard of in the drugstore! I opted for the shade Beige which is light with cool pink undertones and I have to say it matches me exactly, woohoo!
The foundation itself is oil free so it's great for any oily, combination guys or gals out there but equally it's suitable for normal to dry skin too, it has a super lightweight formula that blends naturally for a beautiful semi-matte-satin finish which never ever goes dry or cakey on me. The coverage is really good, I'd say on the medium-plus to full side of things but can be sheered out by adding some liquid highlighter in with it if you fancy! It stays put really well and never goes patchy, it doesn't oxidise and it doesn't settle into my smile lines either thank goodness as a lot of foundations tend do that to me. Overall I'm utterly impressed and this foundation definitely gets a 10 out of 10 from me, I honestly think I've finally found my perfect foundation, it even has a frosted glass bottle and a pump, and for £7.50 it doesn't break the bank either!
For a long time I've been extremely faithful when it comes to concealers and always stuck with Collection's Lasting Perfection but I wanted to try something else for a change so that's why I picked up Elf's 16 Hour Camo Concealer. The bottle of the concealer is pretty big and inside you'll find it has a huge doe-foot applicator to make it easy to sculpt and highlight the face, again theres a great shade range to choose from as theres 18 different shades in different undertones, I opted for Light Peach which is light with rosy peach undertones, it's super brightening and perfect for under my eyes! The formula of the concealer is amazing, it's full coverage so my dark circles are literally a thing of the past, it blends out beautifully and feels so lightweight under the eyes and dries down matte and I can confirm that on me it does not crease or budge what so ever, and a little goes a very long way, the formula is honestly stunning I'm so, so impressed! It's very affordable too at just £5.00 a tube and I've tried concealers from highend brands before that are around £20.00 that are no where near as good as this one, it's magicial stuff!
Have you trid any makeup from Elf before beaut's? What should I try next?? I'd love to know!

I always use to use elf brushes because they are super affordable and really good but I’ve lost most of them now :( need to get myself to Superdrug to stock up! I currently use No7 foundation but want a cheaper alternative so this definitely sounds like an option to me!
ReplyDeleteI picked up this foundation last week and have been really impressed, I'm going to try that concealer next xx
