Summer Fashion & Beauty Wishlist

Hey beaut's!

We have had some gorgeous weather here in the UK this week so it got me scrolling though websites online, I came across lots of gorgeous summer clothes and makeup so I thought id put a little wish list together. Firstly how cute is that floral print play suit from New Look, I absolutely love it and thought either of the Micheal Kors Shoes that caught my eye would go with it! I'm also obsessing over those gorgeous Ash Boots, I think they will look so cute for the festival season with little shorts. Something else that I NEED in my life are those rose gold sunglasses from Coconut Lane, wow they look beautiful! Makeup wise the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation is still at the top of my wish list, I want to try this so badly as I've heard such good things. I'm also intrigued by the new L'Oreal Cushion releases, they have launched a foundation and a bronzer and I really want to give them both a whirl.

Barry M 'Superdrug Exclusive' Nail Paint Review

Hey beaut's

I recently spotted that Barry M had launched four new limited edition nail paints, two of which are exclusive to Boots and the other two are exclusive to Superdrug, so being the Barry M Nail Paint lover that I am I just had to check them out. I must admit I wasn't bowled over by the shades that are exclusive to Boots, their both different shades of nude which is great for those nude nail loving gals but not for me, I'm more for a bit of colour. I then checked out Superdrugs offering, again I as greeted with another shade of nude but wait.... the other was a pretty shade of pink that I just couldn't resist sharing with you all.

The shade I fell in love with is Festival Fever, a gorgeous bubblegum pink with a golden shimmer/sheen running through it, it's so pretty for the Summer. The formula is very pigmented and applies well, I only needed two thin coats to achieve fully opaque nails and the dry time was pretty quick too. The finish of Festival Fever is semi-matte, I think this is down to the amount of golden shimmer the polish contains, so if you like a glossy nail you'd need to apply a top coat with this. I actually found the lasting power very good, this shade was on my nails a good four days before I had any chipping which I was really impressed with. The only downside with this shade for me really was that the golden shimmer wasn't very noticeable, I can only really see it in strong direct sunlight, it's not a big deal I guess but I would of liked to see the golden sheen more. If your worrying about this being hard to remove because of the shimmer then fear not, it came off my nails just like any regular polish so the shimmer really didn't hinder the removal process at all thank goodness.
Overall I absolutely love this shade and would highly recommend picking it up before they all sell out, the formula is gorgeous and I really cant knock the lasting power either, and if your into your nude nail polishes I'm sure the other three exclusive shades will be lovely too.

You can find the Barry M Nail Paint in Festival Fever exclusivly in Superdrug for £3.99 HERE.

Have you tried any of the Barry M Boots and Superdrug Exclusives yet? Which is your favourite? I'd love to know.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Foundation Brush Review

Hey beaut's!

I've trying out a few of the Makeup Revolution Ultra Metals makeup brushes recently and have been so impressed, they are dupes for the Real Techniques Bold Metals collection and I have to say from the brushes I've tried so far, our friends over at Makeup Revolution have done a brilliant job. The latest Ultra Metals Brush I've been testing out is the Contour Foundation Brush so I thought I would share my thoughts on it with you all today!
Firstly can we just appreciate how stunning the Ultra Metals Contour Foundation Brush is, I absolutely love the rose gold handle and the bristles are so fluffy and white, it's such a stunning brush! I'd say the Contour Foundation Brush is probably one of the most usual brushes I have due it's shape and size, its a decent size but has soft, densely packed bristles that are shaped into a triangle but with rounded edges. It's the perfect brush to use for applying foundation and blending in concealer because it can really get into and blend those hard to reach areas such as around the nose, eyes, near the ears, the jawline and the hairline, it's amazing! As well as foundation and concealer application I've also found this brush handy for applying and blending my cream contour, it's so easy to stripe the cream contour on and then I like to use the very tip of the brush to blend the contour in.
Overall, I have to say I'm so impressed. I'm definitely going to be collecting the rest of the Makeup Revolution Ultra Metals Brushes because this Contour Foundation Brush is the second brush from the collection that I've tried and fallen in love with, not to mention how beautiful they look on my dressing table he he!

You can find the Ultra Contour Foundation Brush on the Makeup Revolution website for £9.99 HERE!
