Real Techniques Sculpting Brush Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Being the massive Real Techniques fan that I am I've taken it upon myself to try and collect every brush that Pixiwoo's Sam and Nic Chapman release. I've been lusting after their new Sculpting Brush for a while now and have featured it in numerous wish list post's over the last couple of months or so, so I'm super happy that I finally have it my life to review for you all today.
The Real Techniques Sculpting Brush* (£9.99) is going to be a contour lovers dream, it's been made especially to help accentuate bone structure and enhance facial features for that contoured, defined look. The bristles of the Sculpting Brush are quite dense and are shaped into a narrow oval shape, this makes it so effective for contouring as it fits right into the hollows of the cheek, around the jaw line and down the sides of the nose perfectly. Like most Real Techniques brushes the Sculpting Brush can be used in multiple ways, I've personally been using it mostly for foundation application and have been obsessed with the results. It leaves the same finish on the skin as the Real Techniques Buffing Brush does when used with liquid foundation and is so easy to blend with and really gets in those harder to reach areas because of it's shape. Contouring is something I'm only just getting really into and I find the Sculpting brush really does make this easier for me, I'd highly recommend this brush to any beginners in the contouring world like myself.
The Sculpting Brush is actually from the ‘Your Finish’ collection of Real Techniques brushes which all sport the pink the light weight aluminium handles, and also has a nice sturdy rubberised part at the bottom of the brush for easy grip and allows the brush to stand up by itself for easy storage. Like all Real Techniques Brushes the Sculpting Brush has super soft, hand cut. ultra plush synthetic taklon bristles which can be used with cream, liquid and powder products and are all 100% cruelty free which is a major plus.
Overall I'm in absolute love with the Sculpting Brush and it's quickly become one of my all time favourites from Real Techniques, I've even just bought the Limited Edition Sculpting Set from Superdrug because I love this brush so much and not only wanted another one but wanted the other brushes in the sculpting collection too. You really cant beat Real Techniques brushes for price and quality can you, they are such reliable brushes that always perform brilliantly and wash up as good as new.

Have you bought the Sculpting Brush yet beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!!

Real Techniques 'Limited Edition' Nic's Picks Makeup Brush Set | Review

 Hey beaut's!

Today I'm back with an exciting review featuring one of my favourite makeup brush brands Real Techniques. Real Techniques brushes are designed by the lovely Sam and Nic Chapman from Pixiwoo. We saw Sam release her 'Picks' gift set around this time last year and now Nic has joined in to bring us her limited edition 'Nic's Picks' gift set, and of course being the Real Techniques addict that I am I just had to treat myself to this gorgeous set.
The limited edition set features five full-size, essential brushes to help us create that perfect base, glowing cheeks, and high definition eyes. What makes this set extra special is that three of the five brushes are exclusives and have never been sold before, either individually or in any other set, also we have never seen the Silver brush handles before which I have to say look amazing and so much more expensive. As always whether your a beginner or not these makeup brushes are so easy to use, versatile, ultra soft and will have you applying and blending like an expert.

The set contains...

Duo-Fibre Face Brush

I already own one of these brushes from the Limited Edition Duo Fibre brush Set but I'm happy to have another back up brush in my life for when the other one is grubby. It's a beautifully cut large, fluffy duo-fibre brush that is perfect for the lightweight application and blending of powder, it's just sets my makeup in place without that heavy look and powder is almost invisible when you use this brush to apply it.

Cheek Brush (set exclusive)

I couldn't wait to try this brush, it's densely packed and beautifully soft and makes applying blusher (cream or powder) easy for an even, more dramatic finish. It also works amazingly with bronzers and is great for contouring, I've even used this for foundation application and it worked really well, it really reminded me of the Expert Face Brush when I used it that way. (P.S. Sorry about the blurred pictured at the top)

Angled Shadow Brush (set exclusive)

Arrhhh my favourite out of the bunch... The Angled Shadow Brush is perfectly cut for applying shadow to the crease, it works so well at adding depth and blends crease work out beautifully, I'd even go as far as saying this brush is in my top 3 when it comes to makeup brushes, I actually wish they sold these individually so I could stock up on them because I love it sooo much!

Base Shadow Brush

Another favourite of mine is the Base Shadow Brush... We very first saw this brush in the Starter Set and was quickly said to be an essential brush for creating an even, smooth and flawless eyeshadow base which I totally agree with. I'm so happy to have another one of these little beauties in my life.

Eyeliner Brush (set exclusive)

I was so excited to try this brush, it's firm, thin and angled making it perfect for applying  powder, gel and cream eyeliner, it makes creating those cat eye flicks so simple and easy. I also enjoy using this brush for filling in my brows and bringing eye shadows down onto the lower lash line, it's such a versatile little brush.

All of the Real Techniques brushes in the Nic's Picks set have the usual light weight aluminium (Silver coloured) handle's making them really easy to use and are made up of  hand cut ultra plush synthetic taklon bristles which can be used with cream, liquid and powder products and are all 100% cruelty free which is a major plus.

Overall I think this 5 piece set is genius, you are literally getting 5 brushes that can complete a whole make-up look and more, as most of the brushes can be used in a multitude of ways, you really cant go wrong with Real Techniques can you.

I picked up my set from Superdrug for £29.99, that's just £5.99 per brush which is so reasonable, but at the moment Superdrug have this set on offer for just £20.00 which is amazing and brings the price down to just £4.00 per brush, so get treating yourselves beaut's he he.

Have you bought Nic's Picks yet beaut's?? What brush is your favourite?? I'd love to know??

Real Techniques 'NEW' Retractable Bronzer Brush | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

Today I'm back with another exciting review for you all featuring one of my most favourite brush brands Real Techniques. As you may know Real Techniques brushes are designed by the lovely Samantha Chapman from Pixiwoo and recently Real Techniques welcomed Sam's sister Nic Chapman to their fabulous makeup brush line. To begin their collaboration together, Nic and Sam have released four brand new innovative brushes which include a Retractable Kabuki Brush £11.95, a Retractable Lip Brush £6.95, a Silicone Liner Brush £5.95 (review here) and the Retractable Bronzer Brush* which I'll be reviewing for you all today.

The Retractable Bronzing Brush contains 2 different synthetic fibres within the bristles making it a 'duo-fibre' brush, essentially what happens when you use this brush is that the white bristles pick up the product whilst the black bristles make light work of all the blending, this helps to create soft layers and gives you that gorgeous natural bronzed glow, sounds amazing right? You aren't just restricted with using this brush for bronzing though, like with most of the Real Techniques Brushes you can use them in a multitude of ways, the bronzing brush can also be used to apply powder foundation and loose/pressed finishing powders.

Sam and Nic have also added a new feature to 3 of their new brushes, which has never been seen before in the Real Techniques Collection and that is... the brushes are retractable! woohoo!! This means no more damaged bristles from just throwing your brush in your handbag/makeup bag for touch ups when your on the go, what a brilliant idea!

As always with Real Techniques brushes, the Retractable Bronzer Brush has 100% cruelty free hand cut synthetic taklon bristles. I must admit I do usually find Real Techniques brushes to be very lightweight, however this brush is much more weighty than the rest, I put this down to the retractable element of the brush and the fact this is quite a large brush so it contains alot of bristles.

Overall, I'm super impressed with Real Techniques retractable addition, its such a fantastic idea for anyone that needs to touch up their base makeup on the go, for instance if your quite oily/shiny and need to lightly powder throughout the day, this brush will be fantastic and just what you need. I honestly don't think Real Techniques will ever bring out a brush I dislike, so far their whole collection get a huge thumbs up from me.

You can buy your very own Real Techniques Retractable Bronzer Brush for £12.95 from cloud10beauty.com along with the rest of the Real Techniques Range.

Have you tried any of the new Real Techniques Brushes??? What did you think??? I'd love to know.

Real Techniques 'NEW' Silicone Liner Brush | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

Today I'm back with an exciting review for you all featuring one of my most favourite brush brands Real Techniques. As you may know Real Techniques brushes are designed by the lovely Samantha Chapman from Pixiwoo and recently Real Techniques welcomed Sam's sister Nic Chapman to their fabulous makeup brush line. To begin their collaboration together, Nic and Sam have released four brand new innovative brushes which include a Retractable Kabuki Brush £11.95, a Retractable Bronzing Brush £12.95 (review coming soon), a Retractable Lip Brush £6.95 and a Silicone Liner Brush* £5.95 which I'll be reviewing for you all today.

Firstly I have to say the Silicone Liner Brush is incredible and such a fantastic idea. I don't know about you but even though I love using gel liners I hardly do as I find washing the brush everyday a pain, even if you wipe you brush clean the next day you go to apply your gel liner and then oh... you are greeted by a rock hard brush with clumps of gel liner on it, what a pain, but Real Techniques have now solved all our problems with their Silicone Liner brush. As this liner brush has a silicone nib/applicator it means its so easy to keep clean with one easy wipe woohoo!! As for application... The Silicone Liner Brush can be used with liquid, cream and gel liners, which all glide on smoothly with no dragging on the eye at all, the silicone nib is also nice and flexible so it really works with the eye, it's extremely precise too, giving you sharp straight lines and its super easy to create flicks/wings thanks to the silicone nib's amazing shape, I must admit it did take me about 2-3 goes before I had mastered using the brush totally, as its just so different from anything else I've tried before.

Overall, I'm super impressed with this little brush, I'm so glad to have found such an amazing gel liner applicator that works well and is super easy to keep clean, its just so different and unique too, I love it!!!

You can buy your very own Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush for £5.95 from cloud10beauty.com along with the rest of the Real Techniques Range.

Have you tried any of the new Real Techniques Brushes??? What did you think??? Id love to know.

Real Techniques 'Limited Edition' Duo-Fiber Set | Review

 Hey girlie's!!!

Today I'm back with an exciting review featuring one of my most favourite brush brands Real Techniques. Real Techniques brushes are designed by the lovely Samantha Chapman from Pixiwoo. Sam has released lots of different individual brushes and brush sets so far but today I'll be reviewing her 'Limited Edition Duo-Fiber Set' which is a definite must have for any make-up or beauty lover.

The set contains 3 full size brushes, a face brush, a contour brush and an eye brush, which can all be used with cream, liquid and powder products. What I love about these brushes is that theres 2 different synthetic fibres in each brush making them 'duo-fibre', this helps to create soft layers, add texture and most of all to make your make-up look pixel perfect, sounds amazing right?

Onto each brush you receive in the set....

Duo-Fiber Face Brush*
This brush is great for applying any face product whether it be a setting powder, blusher or bronzer, the brush applies each product softly, allowing you to control how much you wish to layer up your products. Personally Ive been using this brush to lightly set my foundation into place with a loose setting powder, I also find its nice to blend over any bronzer or blush that I've used just to make sure everything is well blended, overall it's a lovely brush that I now couldn't be without.

Duo-Fiber Contour Brush*
So as the name suggests this is primarily to use for contouring, if your not a pro at contouring like me, your going to love this brush as it applies your contour powder so soft, even if your heavy handed, and the brush allows you to keep layering up the product until your happy, I love it.

Duo-Fiber Eye Brush*
I adore this brush, it applies and blends out your eye shadow on the contours of your eyes a dream, leaving no harsh lines and gives such a seamless finish, its also great for blending your concealer out under your eyes and around your nose too.

All of the Real Techniques brushes in the Limited Edition Duo-Fiber Set have light weight aluminium handle's making them really easy to use and have a rubber section at the bottom of the handle for extra grip and control, and all of the brushes are 100% cruelty free too which is a major plus.

Overall I absolutely love these brushes and the finish they leave you with is beautiful and so natural. You can buy this Limited Edition Duo-Fiber Real Techniques Brush Set from Fragrance Direct for £21.50, that's around £7.00 per brush, what a bargain when they perform just as well as any high end brush!!!

Have you got these brushes girlie's??? Are you a Real Techniques fan??? I'd love to know.

Don't forget you can enter my 500 follower GIVEAWAY here to be in with a chance of winning a MAC lipstick and a MAC eyeshadow!!!

Real Techniques Sam's Picks Make-up Brush Set | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

Today I'm back with an exciting review featuring one of my most favourite brush brands Real Techniques. Real Techniques brushes are designed by the lovely Samantha Chapman from Pixiwoo. Sam has released lots of different individual brushes and brush sets so far but her new set 'Sam's Picks'* is a definite must have for any make-up or beauty lover.

The set contains 6 full size brushes, 4 face brushes and 2 eye brushes, all of which Sam has hand picked  for the set naming them her favourite brushes, not forgetting that within the 6 brushes shes thrown in an exclusive never before seen brush which makes this set that extra bit special.

The brushes in this set include....

Multi-Task Brush*
The Multi Task Brush is so super soft and perfect for applying powder products to larger area's of the face, including blusher, bronzer and setting powder. I also love the fact that the multi task brush isn't overly large, making it really easy to work with and you feel you have a more controlled application of your make-up products.

Setting Brush*
The Setting Brush is great if you want to set the more delicate, harder to reach areas on your face such as under the eye area where concealer can crease and around the nose. It's also a great little brush for applying a precise yet flawless dusting of highlighter to the brow bone, cheek bones and down the centre of your nose

Buffing Brush*
My all time favourite Real Techniques Brush 'The Buffing Brush'!!! This little beauty was previously available in the Core Collection and its fair to say its a well loved brush in the blogging world. I use it more or less everyday to apply my liquid foundation as the finish is just completely flawless, theres never any horrid brush stroke lines and it always blends my foundation into my skin in a matter or minutes, which is great if you are in a rush but still want perfect skin.

Pointed Foundation Brush*
The Pointed Foundation Brush is aimed at building coverage in certain areas of the face that need it with your preferred foundation, I must admit I personally never use this brush for foundation as I'm so in love with my Buffing Brush however I do find this brush is best used for concealer, its the perfect size and shape for under the eyes and its pointed bristles mean you can apply your concealer in the most awkward of places.

Essential Crease Brush*
This little brush is the set's exclusive brush and my goodness its a good'un!!! It's tapered end allows you to apply eye shadow to the contours of your eyes to perfection, whilst the rounded bristles allow you to blend your eyeshadow out flawlessly, so essentially its doing two jobs at once, brilliant!!!

Fine Liner Brush*
The Fine Liner Brush was one of the brushes from this set I was really excited to try. The brush perfectly lines your eyes with either gel or cream eyeliner and creates precise lines, whether you prefer thick winged out liner or a more subtle liner this brush will help you create your desired look with ease.

All of the Real Techniques brushes in Sam's Picks have light weight aluminium handle's making them really easy to use and are made up of  hand cut ultra plush synthetic taklon bristles which are great to use with cream, liquid and powder products and are all 100% cruelty free which is a major plus.

Overall I think this 6 piece set is genius, you are literally getting 6 brushes that can complete a whole make-up look and more, as most of the brushes can be used in a multitude of ways, you really cant go wrong with Sam's picks.

You can buy Sam's Picks by Real Techniques from cloud10beauty for £29.99, that's just £5.00 per brush, what a bargain!!!

Have you tried any of the brushes from Sam's Picks??? What did you think???

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

Being the massive Real Techniques fan that i am ive taken it upon myself to try and collect every brush that Pixiwoo's Samantha Chapman has realeased. Ive wanted the Expert Face Brush for a while now but put off buying it as i thought it was very similar to the buffing brush but after receiving the brush as a birthday gift an trying it out for myself i can now see some differences between the two brushes.

As with all the Real Techniques brushes the expert face brush has a light weight aliminuim handle with a nice sturdy part at the bottom of the brush makeing the brush able to stand up for easy storage. The brush itself has short dence bristles, shorter than the buffing brush bristles and has more of a smaller oval shape where as the buffing brush is more circler. The brush is made up of  hand cut ultra plush synthetic taklon bristles and are 100% cruelty free which is a major plus.

I find the Expert Face Brush is perfect for applying and blending liquid, cream and powder foundations. I have found to get the best results you need to use brush strokes rather than a buffing motion, i use the brush like i would use a stanstard foundaion brush and it gives you a pixil perfect finish to the skin. I also find as the brush is slightly smaller it makes it easier to get to smaller places on the face such as around your nose and eye area and because the bristles are smaller and more dence it gives you the effect of more coverage.

Overall i really love this brush and love the finish it leaves and yet again the lovely Samantha Chapman has made another pretty amazing brush.

Real Techniques Brushes are available in selected Boots and Superdrug stores and on various online retailers.

Have you tried this brush yet??? Are you a big fan of Real Techniques like me??? Id love to know.
