Hey girlie's!!! As you might be aware if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter I'm always baking, in fact i love baking!! So a while ago whilst i was watching Tanya Burr on YouTube she made some cookies which looked yummy so i gave them a go, i thought id share with you how mine turned out and also share the recipe as they are delicious (this is my third batch, oops).
What you will need
* 2OOg unsalted butter
* 300g caster sugar
*1 large egg
*275g self-raising flour
* 75g cocoa powder
* 2 or 3 large chocolate bars, if you want to change it up abit you could use M&M's, marshmallows or even nuts. The list is endless really.
Firstly you'll need to cream the butter and caster sugar together, i always pop the butter in the microwave first for about 30 seconds just to make it super soft so its easy to mix with the sugar. Crack in your egg at this point and give it another quick mix, then i pop in the self-raising flour and cocoa powder and mix again. If the mixture is a little dry then pop in a small drop of milk until u get a cookie dough consistency, then pop in your broken up squares of chocolate and mix throughout.
Line your baking trays with baking paper, i used 3 trays as my mixture always makes around 12-16 cookies, it all depends on how big or thick you want your cookies to how far the mixture will stretch. I use a tablespoon as my guide and then make them into palm sized balls and pop them on the trays equally apart.
Pop in a preheated oven at 200°C or Gas Mark 6 for 10 minutes. They will be very soft and sloppy when the 1o minutes is up so when u take them out the oven leave them to cool for a good 30 minutes before you remove them from the baking tray.
There you have it, yummy cookies that are simply and easy to make.
Let me know if you have made these yummy cookies before?? Did you try adding any new additions??
Love Hayley xXxXx
