Morphe Fall Into The Frost Palette Review

Hey beaut's!

Last year I had my eyes set on the Morphe Fall Into The Frost Eyeshadow Palette but my goodness it was hard to find anywhere that actually had it in stock, I waited weeks and then eventually gave up but my heart was still longing for that palette. Fast forward to nearly a year on and I was randomly browsing on the Beauty Bay website and the little Fall Into The Frost beauty was in stock so it went straight into my basket and I promptly checked out, obviously I done a celebratory dance too he he. After using the Fall Into The Frost Palette for a few weeks now I can definitely see not only why this palette is popular but also why Morphe is raved about too, its a bloody fantastic palette.
The Fall Into The Frost Palette (35F) contains a whopping thirty five warm toned shades that us Autumn and Winter loving girls basically dream of having on out eyelids at this time of the year, seven of the thirty five shades are matte and the other twenty eight are intense metallic hues, so theres certainly plenty of shades to mix and match with. The shade range is extensive with lots of orangey-brown, coppery shades which are so autumnal, and theres lots of purple, cranberry shades that are so dreamy for winter and the party season. Theres even some gorgeous champayne highlighter shades on the top row and the mattes on the bottom row are the perfect transitional/crease shades.
The quality of the shades is phenomenal, each shade is buttery soft to swatch, intensely pigmented, they blend like an absolute dream and last so well on my oily eyelids, they pick up great on my brushes or on my fingers and even the matte shades wearnt really chalky. I also cant get my head around how affordable this palette is, it's just £23.00 for 35 shades, that's around 65p a shadow, it's such a bargain, I love it he he!

If your looking for a good quality, affordable palette that will have you totally covered for the entirety of autumn and winter then the Fall Into The Frost Palette is the one to invest in, I can see myself getting so much use out of this palette and I think the looks I can create are endless, on my it's so dreamy!

You can find the Morphe Fall Into The Frost Palette for £23.00 HERE.

October Beauty Favourites!

Hey beaut's!

October is my all time favourite month, everything is just so autumnal and cosy and Christmas is creeping ever closer which I love, mind you I don't like how quick this month has gone, I'm such an autumnal gal so I would like to cling onto October for a litter longer than 31 days he he! Anywho....it's favourites time again so I thought I'd share what makeup and beauty bits and pieces I've been loving throughout October, theres some good'un's beaut's!
I have fallen completely in love with my Morphe Fall Into The Frost Palette recently, I may have only had this little beauty for a few weeks but I've been using it every single day without fail and the quality has really impressed me! The palette contains 35 gorgeous warm toned shades that go hand in hand with autumn and the pigmentation and blendability is seriously insane, it's hard to believe the palette only costs £23.00, what a beauty bargain!
YSL's Black Opium has been my favourite scent all throughout October, its so warm, musky and sexy and it will be perfect for the winter months ahead and the party season too. I've been slathering on Zoella's Winter Wonder Hand - Hand Cream all day everyday recently, yup it's that time again when my poor hands get all dry but Zoella's offering has been keeping all the dryness at bay so far, and it smells incredible which is an added bonus! Going back to the eyes, L'Oreal's Paradise Mascara hasn't left my lashes, oddly when I first tried this back in August I wasn't that bowled over by it, I mean I thought it was a good mascara but it smudged and transferred on me which was annoying so I found myself not reaching for it much. Then fast forward to October, I tried it out again and I've had no transferring or smudging what so ever, I'm putting this down to the mascara possibly drying out a bit since I last used it but whatever it is I'm happy because it works perfectly now! Finally for lips I've still been loving Revlon's Black Cherry Lipstick although I've been pairing it with the Collection Lip Liner in Damson and they work so well together, they are the perfect combo for Autumn that's for sure and I even rock Damson alone sometimes too.

What have you been loving this October  beaut's?? I'd love to know!

Party Season Nails By KISS!

Hey beaut's!

The party season is fast approaching and it's time to start prepping for those Christmas parties. There's something so nice about going to Christmas parties isn't there, I just love the fact that everything is all sparkly and covered in sequins, it literally takes glitz and glam to whole new level which I absolutely love, it's all about the perfect dress, heels, makeup and nails isn't it, speaking of nails.... today I thought I'd talk all about easy, fuss free nails that will add that finishing touch to any party look in less than a minute!

KISS imPRESS Press On Nails are literally the easiest and quickest way to finish off any look, gone are the days of waiting for polish to dry or for that glitter top coat that looked pretty at the time but was a bitch to remove, yup these nails are fuss free because all you have to do is peel off the backing and stick them on your natural nails, simple! My favourite set at the moment are the Shimmer* set (£7.99), this set is made up of 30 nails in total 24 are in a stunning light pink shade and then theres 6 white glitter striped accent nails, all of which have a gorgeous glossy gel finish. Theres lots of different sized nails to pick from in the set so you can mix and match to get the best fit and once stuck on these babies will last a good couple of days depending how heavy handed you are.
The Swept Away* (7.99) nails are perfect paired with a little black dress, I love pairing a red lip and red nails with an LBD! These cuties are in the most gorgeous, festive shade of red with a mix of black polka dot accent nails, again theres 30 nails in total so you can mix and match for the most comfortable fit! Both sets of these imPRESS nails where a great length and shape for me too, I naturally have short, square nails so something that's a little bit longer than my own nails in the same sort of shape works best for me so these are perfect.

You can find KISS imPRESS Press On Nails For £7.99 in Superdrug HERE.

Lush Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar Review

Hey beaut's!

It's that time of the year again where I ditch the quick showers and start enjoying long, hot relaxing baths so of course that meant that I needed to take a trip to Lush and treat myself to a couple of bath bombs. I didn't go mad this year, I just picked up four goodies to try, three of which where from their Christmas range and one from their Halloween range - the new Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar!
The Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar is new to Lush this year and it's so dreamy to look at, it's pink, it's so sparkly and iridescent and pumpkin shaped with a tiny little cinnamon stick stalk, whats not to love! The scent of this one is very feminine and floral, it's made up of a mix of geranium, bergamot and jasmine that come together to create a sweet girlie fragrance which I love, it actually reminds me of a perfume I once had but I cant for the life of me put my finger on what one!
Once crumbled into the bath it creates lots of soft white fluffy bubbles and turns the water a gorgeous shade of pink, in the picture above I only used a large chunk of the bubble bar so I still have plenty left for another two baths or so, I imagine if you crumbled the whole bubble bar into your bath you may fill you entire bathroom with bubbles as it really does bubble up a lot ha ha. Despite being super sparkly and glittery to touch once the Pink Pumpkin is in the bath you don't actually get covered in glitter, the glitter is literally just on the outside of the bubble bar so if your worried that you might come out the water resembling a disco ball fear not he he!

If your looking for a girly, floral bath this Halloween I cant recommend the Pink Pumpkin enough, it smells gorgeous, looks cute and creates sooooo many soft bubbles, I love it and I'm so happy I picked it up to try!

You can find the Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar for £4.25 HERE

Vichy Dermablend Cover Matte Powder Foundation Review

 Hey beaut's!

If you've been reading my blog a while now you'll probably already know that I'm a huge fan of Vichy, I use their skincare products on a daily basis and even their Dermablend makeup is part of my makeup collection, so when I saw that they had added to their Dermablend range with a powder foundation I just knew I was going to have to give it a whirl!
If your new to Dermablend, it's Vichy's award winning makeup range that conceals and treats skin concerns, from blemishes and uneven skin tone through to scaring and rosacea the range offers high coverage with a light weight feel and with the added bonus of SPF! The new Dermablend Covermatte Compact Powder Foundation* is perfect if your wanting to set your base makeup into place in a lightweight way for up to 12 hours whilst also adding full, buildable coverage and keeping oil and shine at bay throughout the day too.
I have more combination skin these days, some areas get a little oily and some areas get a little dry so I always need to powder my skin, however I've found it really hard to find the perfect powder that sets and covers without looking cakey or over powdery on my skin until now! Honestly beaut's this powder has been a life saver for me, it never ever looks over powdery or cakey, it keeps my makeup set in place throughout a whole working day and it also adds some coverage so my skin looks pretty much pixel perfect. I also love how it never feels heavy, a lot of full coverage powders - or any powders to be honest - can go heavy or patchy but Vichy's offering never ever feels heavy on my skin and it never goes patchy either.

Overall I cant recommend this powder enough, it's honestly one of my favourite new makeup launches I've tried in a while, and I can see myself purchasing it over and over because I cant be without this beauty now! It lightly mattifies, feels smooth, never clings to my dryer areas, has great coverage, feels lightweight on my skin and keeps shine at bay, whats not to love! It's also great for travelling or popping into your handbag too because the compact has a good sized mirror and the powder flips up to reveal a handy 'on the go' sponge! I literally love this powder as much as my MAC mineralize skin finish natural, which really is saying something!

You can find the Vichy Dermablend Covermatte Compact Powder Foundation for £20.00 HERE.

Mini Konjac Gingerbread Man Pore Refiner Review

Hey beaut's!

Can you believe theres only  65 sleeps until Christmas....It's going so quick isn't it, so I thought it would be the perfect time to do my very first Christmas gift idea post. I'm kicking things off with this super adorable Mini Gingerbread Man Pore Refiner by The Konjac Sponge Co, wouldn't it be the perfect stocking filler or secret Santa gift for any beauty and skincare lovers out there!
The Mini Gingerbread Man Pore Refiner* is actually part of Konjac's Festive Friends Collection, as well as the Gingerbread Man theres also Rudolph's Nose, Blitzen's Nose and The Snowman to collect, all of which are targeting towards different skin concerns! So you might be wondering what an earth is a Konjac Sponge??? Well its essentially a nifty little cleansing sponge... it works to eliminate dirt and impurities from the face, eyes and nose by deeply cleansing and exfoliating the complexion, refining pores and leaving the skin feeling refreshed and revitalised after use. To use the sponge all you have to do rinse it under warm water until it gets all soft and puffs up slightly (when you first get the sponge it will be rock hard and very lightweight), then gently squeeze out any excess water, and then go on to cleanse your skin either with or without cleanser, it can be used either way.
I actually had a pink heart shaped Konjac Sponge quite some time a go and loved it so I knew I would more than likely love this little gingerbread beauty, and I do! It amazes me how well these little sponges work and how incredible they make my skin feel. After use my skin is always squeaky clean, super soft and any dead/dry skin cells are always polished off! Because of it's mini size it can get into all the hard to reach places too like around the nose, chin and eyes which is a bonus and it's 100% natural, vegan friendly and cruelty free too!

If you fancy a mini facial everyday or know somebody who might this Christmas, then I cant recommend this little cutie enough, I want the other three in the collection now too he he!

You can find the Mini Gingerbread Man Pore Refiner for £6.99 HERE!

The £3 Gingerbread Candle You NEED!

Hey beaut's!

It's no secret that I'm a crazy candle lady, my house is pretty much lit up with candles 24/7 during the Autumn/Winter months. Last year I got pretty addicted to the Gingerbread Candle from Home Bargains but it sold out pretty rapidly and I never got the chance to stock up, but to my surprise they have bought it back out this year so I wanted to shout it from the roof tops so that any of you gingerbread lovers out there can stock up like I did he he!

Now I did review this candle last year but just in case you missed it I thought I'd do a little updated version! This yummy Gingerbread Candle costs a teeny tiny £2.99, what a bargain hey, it's in a heavy glass jar and is the same size as the large Yankee Candles so it's seriously good value considering the Yankees are about £24.00 now! When you open the lid your met with the most amazing, strong 'gingerbread men baking in the oven' scent, my goodness its smells incredible but the real test with such an affordable candle is the scent throw, will it only be good for one burn, will it even smell at all??? Well the answer is yes it does, the scent throw is great and it's super recognisable throughout my entire house every single time I burn it, if you like sweet, warming, spicy scents your going to love this and trust me your going to be craving gingerbread so badly each time you burn this!

I love this candle so much that this year I made sure I stocked up and bought four large jars, yup that's right - four he he! If you haven't tried this beauty yet then get yourself to Home Bargains and grab one to try quickly as I think they will sell out fast again this year, they even have smaller jars for 59p and reed de-fusers too.

Have you tried this candle yet beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Soap & Glory She's A Natural Day And Night Palette Reviewed!

Hey beaut's!

Soap & Glory are on fire with their new launches at the moment, their new bath bombs have definitely proved a huge hit with me (read about them HERE) and their new She's A Natural Day And Night Palette is definitely my favourite new makeup launch this month, I've been totally obsessed!
Soap & Glory's She's A Natural Day And Night Palette* contains everything us natural makeup loving gals need to take us from day to night. The palette itself is a really decent size  with a nice large mirror inside the flip up lid which is always appreciated. Included are a light-deflecting sun kissed bronzer called Bronze Moment, a creamy-blendable blusher called Coral Dilemma, a cream highlighter in Glowing Places and three silky, buidlable and well pigmented eyeshadows in Cafe Away, Culture Choc and Choccy!
The quality of every shade within this palette is lovely, the pigment, the blendability, the lasting power - everything is just gorgeous! The bronzer is right up my street because it isn't too dark or too orange-y and it isn't crammed full of glitter either, it reminds me of a slightly lighter version of Benefit's Hoola, their extremely similar! The Blusher and the Highlighter are both cream formulations and blend into the skin like a dream with the option to build up until your hearts content. The three eyeshadows within the palette are perfect everyday shades for me and their so autumnal and warm, Cafe Away is a lovely neutral matte and Culture Choc and Choccy are both different shades of metallic bronze/copper, I love them!
Overall I absolutely love the little palette, it's one of those palettes that you can quickly whack on and then run out the door without thinking, and if you travel often this is going to be a game changer for you! I was so impressed by the quality of all the shades too, they all apply and blend out within seconds and all of the shades suit my skin tone and eye colouring perfectly which is quite rare when buying an all in one palette, for £14.00 this is such a beauty bargain!

You can find the Soap & Glory She's A Natural Day And Night Palette for £14.00 HERE, it's also currently included in their buy one get one half price deal too!

Pumpkin Spiced Cupcake Recipe

Hey beaut's!

I've always wanted to bake some cupcakes around the Autumn/Halloween season that included pumpkin, I mean I'm a huge pumpkin lover when it comes to Halloween anyway but more in the decoration, homeware and carving sense not the eating sense, but I was determined this year to bake with pumpkin! Obviously to bake with pumpkin I needed to get some Pumpkin Puree or Pumpkin Spice, both of these are quite tricky to get in the UK but I managed to grab a tin of the puree online, so I based my bake around the puree and came up with a pretty epic Pumpkin Spiced Cupcake recipe, even if I do say so myself he he!
What You Will Need For 12 Cupcakes
50g butter, softened
1 large egg
90ml milk
125g pureed pumpkin
100g caster sugar
3 tablespoons brown soft sugar
140g plain flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

What You Will Need For The Cinnamon Buttercream
150g unsalted butter
300g icing sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Sprinkles to decorate (optional)

How To - The Cupcakes
 1. Firstly you want to preheat your oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4 and line a 12-hole muffin tin with paper cases.
2. Cream the butter and the caster sugar together in a bowl until pale, then pop in the egg, milk and pumpkin puree and mix again.
3. Then your going to want to add in your brown sugar and mix again, then pop in the rest of your dry ingredients including the flour, spices, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda and mix until it becomes a smooth batter.
4. Divide your batter between the 12 paper cases and bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into one of the cakes comes out clean, then set aside to cool.

How To - Cinnamon Buttercream
1. To make the buttercream just beat the butter with an electric whizzer for a couple of minutes until it starts to go pale and fluffy then gradually add in the icing sugar and beat again for a few minutes. If you find your icing is slightly stiff just mix in a small amount of milk to loosen it up a bit.
2. Once the buttercream is done your going to want to add in your half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon and mix that through the plain buttercream, to be honest you can add as much cinnamon as you like but I would go quarter teaspoon a time if your going to add it to your taste preference, I like my buttercream to have a light cinnamon taste so half a teaspoon was fine for me. You can also do this 'to taste' method with the spices in your cupcakes depending how much spice you like but I like mine quite delicate!
3. To decorate the cupcakes I just whacked my buttercream into a disposable piping bag and just snipped off the end to create a rounded swirl design, I didn't even bother with a pipping nozzle this time around.
4. I finished the cupcakes off with some orange sprinkles and some candy corn pieces on the top of each one and voila!!!

I'm so pleased with how these cupcakes turned out, they had a light 'autumnal spiced' taste and the pumpkin made them so moist and sweet, and the buttercream was to die for. I would definitely bake with pumpkin again, I do have quite a lot of the puree left in the can I bought so I might try pumpkin pie next he he. If your struggling to find pumpkin puree I know certain Tesco stores have cans of it and certain Waitrose and Ocado delivery's have it too, their are also recipes online to make your own too!

Do you like cooking with pumpkin beaut's? I'd love to know!
