Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette Review

Hey beaut's!

It's no secret that I'm a HUGE Urban Decay fan, their Naked Eyeshadow Palettes are my absolute favourites and I cant tell you how many bottles of their all nighter makeup setting spray I've gone through, but there was still one of their Naked Palettes I was yet to try, the Naked Smoky Palette!
The Naked Smoky Palette* is loaded with all the essentials you need to create the perfect smoky eye. Theres 12 sultry, smoky neutral shades, including nine never-before-seen shades and three exclusives from past palettes, all in a mix of mattes, satins and metallics. Even though this is a Smoky Palette you can definitely achieve some gorgeous day looks as well as some killer smokey evening looks, it's definitely versatile!
The quality of all of the shades within the Smoky Palette certainly meet the usual Urban Decay standard, the matte shades aren't chalky at all and pick up on the brush well and the metallics are so intensely pigmented, their honestly as soft as butter to swatch. I only found one shade 'Whisky' slightly more tricky to blend, it just needed a little more work than the others for some strange reason, I have a feeling it could be my primer though. The lasting power iss amazing just like the usual Naked palettes and the shades are such a joy to work with.
Below is a list of the shade run down and some swatches!
High - a champagne shimmer with micro-glitter
Dirtysweet - a medium golden-bronze
Radar - a metallic bronze with iridescent micro-glitter
Armor - metallic silver-taupe with tonal sparkle
Slanted - a light metallic grey
Dagger - a medium charcoal/super dark navy with micro-shimmer
Black Market - a jet-black satin
Smolder - a deep plum-taupe satin
Password - a cool toned matte taupe
Whiskey -  a rich brown matte
Combust - a soft beige- pink matte
Thirteen - a light beige satin
As for the packaging.... I really like it! It has a cool floating smoke effect and the palette itself is made of heavy duty plastic which feels really robust, it's the same style packaging as the Naked Heat Palette which is slightly different to my other Naked Palettes which are in tins, but I prefer the change. It also comes with a full size mirror within the lid and a double-ended brush which is always appreciated.

Whether your a collector of Urban Decay Palettes or if you want to smoke up any eyeshadow look I cant recommend the Naked Smoky Palette enough, I think it will be a great addiction during the Autumn and Winter months too.

You can find the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette HERE for £39.50.

  3. I have the first three Naked palettes, and I would love to have them all, but this one doesn't call my attention. I don't like the color selection... but the new one I will buy! I guess I won't have the complete collection lol xx
