Brush Works HD Miracle Silicone Oval Sponge Review

Hey beaut's!

Silicone sponges have been taking the beauty world by storm at the moment, everyone is so curious about them myself included so I knew it wouldn't be long before I had to try one out for myself. Brush Works actually have quite a few different variations of the silicone sponge to try, I have the Oval HD Miracle Silicone Sponge in Pink which I really like, I prefer this one to the completely clear ones you can get to be honest, that's my super girlie side coming out though hehe.
The Brush Works Oval HD Miracle Silicone Sponge* claims to speed up your daily makeup routine, giving you a flawless coverage as well as being more hygienic than a regular beauty sponge and doesnt waste product either..... So are the claims true??? Does it work??? Lets see...
I have to admit this little silicone sponge certainly felt weird to use to begin with, to use the sponge I simply popped a pump of my foundation directly onto the sponge and then spread it around my face in a wiping motion, what I will say is that one pump was more than enough for my entire face so I definitely think over time I would save foundation if I used this sponge everyday. To get that flawless finish that the sponge claims to achieve you have to tap/bounce it over all areas where you've spread with foundation, this is pretty quick an easy to do however getting around the nose and eyes can be a little tricky, I like to squish the sponge in half to blend those areas and that technique works well for me. After the application process I must admit I was pleasantly surprised, my foundation did look pretty flawless, it wasn't heavy looking or cakey and had blended out really well. I can 100% agree theres no wastage of product because the sponge doesn't absorb anything and the spreading technique seems to make my foundation go further, its also super hygienic as it can be wiped/washed clean after every use so it's going to be so much better for the skin, and I feel like it would have a much longer life span than a beauty sponge which can go mouldy and gross.

Overall I'm actually quite surprised at how much I love this little silicone sponge because I thought this trend would be a fail for me but I love it, it's easy to use once you get used to the fact your using silicone and not sponge, it's easy to keep clean, saves me money in the long run because I don't go through as much foundation or concealer  as I used to and I love how hygienic it is, the silicone sponge gets a huge thumbs up from me that's for sure.
