Secret Scent Box Review

Hey beaut's!

It's no secret that I love a good ole monthly subscription box, I've tried my fair share ranging from beauty, makeup, food and even one for us ladies time of the month but never have I come across a good fragrance one until now when I heard of the Secret Scent Box.
Secret Scent Box* is a monthly subscription fragrance box that lets you try and discover new designer and branded perfumes or colognes. Within each box you get a 30 day supply of three different fragrances, the fragrances come in mini spray bottles perfect for popping in your hand bag or clutch, and are delivered through your letterbox every month for just £15.00 with free UK delivery. When signing up - theres a choice of a box for her or a box for him, which I love, theres so many subscription boxes out their for us ladies but not so many for men so I think it's great that Secret Scent Box cater to men too.
In February's box I received....
1. Calvin Klein CK One Shock - Calvin Klein scents are always popular and CK One Shock certainly doesn't disappoint, it super floral and fresh and perfect for Spring.
Top Notes - Passion Flower, Pink Peony, Poppy Flower
Middle Notes - Chocolate Accord, Blackberry, Narcisse
Base Notes - Magnetic Amber's, Second Skin Musk

2. Tom Ford Orchid Soleil - I always hear so many good things about Tom Ford fragrances, their such a luxury 'high end' brand and their scents are definitely something I could never just go treat myself too, so the fact I have a sample in my Secret Scent Box makes me very happy and allows me to finally try a perfume I thought I'd never be able to.
Top Notes - Bitter Orange, Pink Pepper, Cypress
Middle Notes - Red Spider Lily, Tuberose
Base Notes - Vanilla, Chestnut Cream, Patchouli, Orchid

3. Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Girl - Tommy Hilfiger's Tommy Girl brings back lots of memories for me, this was my go to perfume back in the 90's when I was 14/15 years old, I remember wearing it at high school everyday and I have to say it smells just as lush as I remember he he.
Top Notes - Camellia Flower, Apple Blossom, Mandarin
Middle Notes - Honeysuckle, Butterfly Violet, Rose
Base Notes - Magnolia, Sandalwood, Jasmine

Overall I love this concept and if your into your designer fragrances then I think you will love it too, my favourite scent out of the three I got this month was by far the Tom Ford Orchid Soleil, I would never of expected a subscription box to have something from Tom Ford in even if it sample size.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette First Impressions - Yay or Nay?

Hey beaut's!

I had been lusting after the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette ever since I saw glimpses of it in the works last year, and finally on the 19th of January Debenhams launched it along side some other Sweet Peach beauties. I quickly snapped up a Glow Palette on the day of release because not only does it look absolutely stunning, but I bought the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette last year when it was first launched in the UK and still to this day it's one of my favourite, best quality palettes I own so I had such high hopes for this little glowing palette.
The Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette comes packaged in a cutesy pink/peach/orange ombre style tin with a handy mirror on the inside of the lid, some might find the packaging a bit young or tacky but I absolutely love it and I think Too Faced get packaging so right! The palettes contents is said to be a glowing goddesses dream, it contains a Highlighter, Blusher and a Bronzer all of which are infused with the juicy scent and skin-loving essence of peach to give your face a radiant natural peach glow.
After taking a few snaps of the palette I quickly got stuck in with some swatches and really liked the colour pay off on the back of my hand, the highlighter had a gorgeous peachy-champagne glow, the blush was the most beautiful shade of peach and was super dewy looking and the bronzer was nice and warm but admittedly a bit on the sparkly side for me but would definitely still be something I'd reach for in the Summer months however... It was the application process that has really let this palette down for me - que the cry face emoji, the pigment just doesn't transfer from the brush to the skin well at all. I have gone through so many brushes trying to find the correct brush to use with each product within the glow palette, this is something you really shouldn't have to do especially when you've forked out £34.00. I've found the denser the brush the better, so if you like applying your highlighter with a fan brush like me then that wont work with the glow palette, I literally got no where with my fan brush, instead I use my Real Techniques setting brush and that works quite well with the highlighter. I've also tried spraying my brushes with MAC's Fix+ to deepen the pigment and this does help a bit especially with the highlighter, but again I don't think that's a step anyone should have to take when buying higher end pricey makeup, I mean who wants to waste a bottle of Fix+ just to make the most out of this palette, I certainly don't!
Overall my first impressions of the Glow Palette aren't as amazing as I first thought, I remember when I bought the eyeshadow palette and I was completely blown away by it's pigment and quality and that is what I was expecting again with the glow palette but sadly that isn't the case. Theres no denying that when you either use your fingers to apply it or manage to build this trio up with a dense brush on the skin that it looks pretty because it is stunning when it works, its just all a bit of faff and a let down for me if I'm honest, I think it's just my expectations where so high and we've all been waiting for this to launch for such a long time that I expected a lot more. I'm going to continue using this palette for a while longer and I'll be back doing a proper updated review so watch this space.

Did you buy the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette beaut's? What's you first impressions of it? I'd love to know!

Hi beaut's...

Degustabox works very much like how beauty subscription boxes work, for £12.99 a month (postage included within the £12.99 price) you will receive 10 to 15 surprise food/drink products, many that are completely new to the market! So if your a bit of a foodie like myself and you love subscription boxes your going to love this beaut's!
This month we have 14 yummy food and drink items to sink our teeth into and I'm going to kick things off with some drinks as theres lots of them this month... Firstly I have the Chosan Organic Hibiscus Drink in Fiery Ginger, I love anything with the taste of ginger so I cant wait to give this a go, the added hibiscus helps to promote alertness and add energy too which sounds good to me. Next up is a bottle of Protein Boost in Strawberry flavour (£1.29), this milkshake type drink is great when your on the go and maybe don't have time to have breakfast or a snack. Theres also two cans of Aspire Drinks (£1.45) to try, these are a healthy energy, calorie free, sugar free beverage that are made using good for you ingredients, I received the Cranberry flavour and the Mango and Lemonade, both sound lush! Theres also a jar of Little's French Vanilla Flavour Infused Instant Coffee (£2.99), my boyfriends a huge coffee drinker so he will love this and I like flavoured coffee too so I'm looking forward to trying this one. Finally for drinks this month (wowza theres a lot) is the Crabbie's Ginger Beer (£1.39) this is the UK's number 1 selling alcoholic ginger beer, but whats different about this is that is has a Scottish raspberry flavour, interesting!
Next up are a few savoury things within the box this month... Firstly theres a bag of Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks in Coconut and Chilli (£1.79), these are a baked snack made using Green peas, I love sharing bags like this for movie nights and they are a great alternative to a big bag of Doritos's ha ha. Theres another sharing bag of snacks this month too but this time its a bag of Pop chips in Crazy Hot (£1.99) now I love Pop chips usually but I must admit I'm rather scared to try this 'crazy hot' flavour he he. Finally for the savoury items is a bag of Finn Crisp Snacks (£1.89), these are thin little crisp breads perfect for dips and salsa's, I absolutely love these.
Lastly I have a little mix of things, starting with the Natvia Sweetener (£4.99), we only use sweetener in our house now, we have ditched sugar completely so this pot of sweetener will quickly get used up in my tea and coffee's. Then we have so Fruittella 30% Less Sugar sweeties (£1.25), I love Strawberry flavoured sweets so these will definitely be saved for a cinema date to share with the Mr. Theres also two Chia Seed Shots (66p each) in this months box, Chia Seeds are huge in the health food world at the moment, they are tiny black and white seeds that can be added to food to boost nutrition, the best way to use these is mixed through your porridge or in smoothies I think! Finally this month we have some Quinola Mothergrain (£2.49), I got the split pea flavour which will pretty much accompany most meals and salads.

Degustabox have kindly given me a discount code for all of my beautiful readers, all you have to do is pop 039DB into the promotional code box and you'll receive a whopping £7.00 discount when registering making your first box just £5.99. January Beauty Favourites

Hey beaut's!

It's the first monthly favourites of the year! How has the start of 2017 been for you all? I cant quite believe how quick January is whizzing past, it honestly scares me that the months go by so quickly! This month my beauty favourites mainly contains things that I was lucky enough to get for Christmas, I could of made this post an extremely long one as theres so many things I've been loving this month but I some how narrowed it down to a handful!
Firstly I've been obsessed with using my Too Faced Merry Macaroons Palette, my goodness it's such a stunning, good quality eyeshadow palette and it's crammed with shades that are perfect for everyday looks. My most reached for shades are definitely the top row and the 3 shades on the left had side row too, just beautiful! Sticking with the eyes I have fallen in love with Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara, it makes my lashes so long, defined, lifted and curled and doesn't smudge or flake on me at all, it's incredible and wont be leaving my makeup bag anytime soon.

For base makeup I've switched things up quite a bit recently and have fallen in love with my new routine. Firstly I drench my face in the Smashbox Priming Water, this stuff is amazing and not only does it prime the skin but you can use it as a setting spray too, I use it both ways and I've noticed a HUGE improvement with how my base makeup looks and lasts, I will definitely be buying the full size bottle of this very soon. For foundation I've gone back to my trusty MAC Face and Body, I just love how dewy and lightweight this foundation is and you can keep building it up to get the coverage you like. Benefit's Hoola Bronzer has become another makeup bag staple for me since Christmas, it's quite a bold statement for me to say I love a bronzer because I'm super fussy with bronzers but Hoola is gorgeous, it's matte, easy to blend and works with my skin tone really well.

To blend in my foundation and other base makeup I've been loving my Real Techniques Berlin Brush Set (review HERE) that I picked up in the boxing day sales, I've been getting so much use out of these brushes because the set contains 5 core brushes that can be used in many different ways, my favourite is the buffing brush. Lastly this month I have been obsessed with the Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner, I slather this on every night at the moment and in the morning my skin is so soft and smells insanely good, it's like I'm wearing Snow Fairy perfume, mmm!

What have you been loving this month beaut's?? I'd love to know

NEW Accessorize Love Lily Fragrance Review

Hey beaut's!

I literally cant wait for all things Spring and Summer now, I'm slowly but surely putting those warm, musky perfumes to the back of my collection and pulling forward more of my fruity, floral scents so when the new Accessorize Love Lily Fragrance* landed on my doorstep it couldn't have come at a better time really!

Love Lily is Accessorize' latest eau de parfum launch and it's a good'un, its a fresh, floral and fruity fragrance that opens up with juicy top notes of raspberry and orange, invigorated with a zesty accord of bergamot. At the heart of the fragrance is Muguet (lily of the valley) combined with Jasmine which work together to add a fresh and floral depth, then aromatic musks and sweet vanilla are united at the core of the fragrance.
As I said before Love Lily is a super fresh scent with hints of light sweetness which is perfect for everyday wear because it isn't too strong or overpowering, the fragrance has really good lasting power despite being quite lightweight and I can always smell the vanilla notes within it on myself throughout the day. It's definitely a girlie scent and reminds me of scents that I bought when I was younger when Britney Spears had about a million perfumes to choose from he he, that being said even now that I'm older I can still appreciate a gorgeous scent when I smell one and this really is right up my street, I can see myself getting loads of wear out of Love Lily during Spring and Summer for sure! I love the bottle too, it's fuss free but still pretty and delicate with it's hexagonal glass shape and flower cap, it looks super cute on my dressing table.
Have you tried any of the Accessorize scents before beaut's? Which is your favourite? I'd love to know!

You can find the Love Lily Eau De Parfum for RRP £19/75ml from Accessorize and The Fragrance Shop

Easy 'At Home' Press On Nails by KISS

Hey beaut's!

I've always loved the look of false nails, they make your look complete and super polished but getting them done at the salon not only costs a fortune but damages your naturals nails so much, but the brands KISS and imPRESS have put a stop to all that with their easy application and removal press on nails with soooo many designs, lengths and pretty colours too choose.
The first set of nails from KISS and imPRESS that I couldn't wait to put on my nails where from the Short Accent Collection in Bells and Whistles*, this particular collection is great for me because I have naturally short, square nails so something that's a little bit longer than my own nails in the same sort of shape works best for me. The Bells and Whistles design is made up of 24 nails in a mix of dark matte navy blue and a gorgeous gold glitter, theres lots of different sized nails to pick from so you can mix and match to get the best fit and once stuck on these babies are waterproof so you can get the longest wear out of them. So far I've had my imPRESS manicure on all weekend and not lost a single nail, I've done housework, washing up, been in the shower and their still going strong so I really rate these.
The second set I have are the KISS Gel Fantasy Nails in Freshen Up* (7.99), these are absolutely stunning and definitely look like salon nails. Within this set you get 24 coral coloured nails with a stunning silver glitter gradient on them, what I love about this set so much is that not only are they super glossy and look just like gel nails but again they are squared off at the tips and the medium length isn't too long for me either. With this particular set you get two options for the application process, theres nail glue so you can glue the nails on if you wish, or theres 24 mega adhesive tabs so you can apply them just like the imPRESS ones - which is my favourite way and definitely better for the nails because you can just peel them off safely once your done with them.
Overall I've been loving these nails by KISS especially the navy/gold glitter imPRESS ones,
their such good quality nails and theres so many designs to choose from, and I found the application and removal process so quick an easy, even quicker than when I paint my nails as you don't have the annoying dry time. I also think it's great that they cater for people with more petite nails and the lengths and finishes are never ending.

Are you a lover of press on nails beaut's? Which design is your favourite? I'd love to know!

Healthy-ish Blueberry Muffins Recipe

Hey beaut's!

I've been in the kitchen baking up a storm again... If you read my blogmas posts back in December you might remember I shared quite a few recipes, their was so many fun things I could bake over the festive season and I think it's fair to say my household seriously indulged. Now it's a new year and we are all trying to eat that bit healthier so I thought I'd give heathly-ish blueberry muffins a whirl. These turned out seriously tasty even if I do say so myself so I thought I'd share the recipe with you all today.
What You Will Need
2 cups wholemeal flour
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup + 3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup fat free greek yogurt
1/2 cup of milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup coconut oil melted
1 cup blueberries

How To
1. Preheat your oven to Gas Mark 5 and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper cases and then set aside.
2. In a large bowl whisk together all the dry ingredients, so the flours, sugar, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, salt, and cinnamon and set aside.
3. In another bowl whisk together all of the wet ingredients, so the yogurt, milk, vanilla, eggs, honey, and oil.
4. Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry flour mixture until everything is well combined and all of the flour has disappeared then fold in your blueberries.
5. Divide the batter evenly in the paper cases then place in the oven and bake for 18 minutes, reducing the heat to Gas Mark 4 after about 10 minutes of baking.
6. Allow the muffins to cool for 5 minutes before carefully transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely and voila.... Yummy muffins that aren't as bad for you as having a big lump of cake or a cupcake covered in icing but still gets rid of that sweet craving you might be having.

Overall I'm so pleased with how these muffins turned out, this was the first time of me giving these a go and if there was one thing I'd change when I make them next time is to fill the paper cases up with more mixture to make them bigger, as I did have a little mixture left! Their lovely and sweet and the coconut oil makes them moist and tasty, their the perfect snack when your craving something sweet or for breakfast with some yogurt on the side.

Have you been baking healthier this year beaut's? I'd love to know!

Kiss Beautiful Brow Kit Review

Hey beaut's!

Brows are so important to me in my everyday makeup routine, just like lipstick if my brows aren't groomed and filled in then my makeup just isn't complete. I like my brows to look really natural but full with no sparse areas and I always use a brow powder or two to achieve this, powder is definitely the most natural way to go when it comes to brows I think, so when I came across the Kiss Beautiful Brow Kit I couldn't wait to give it a go.

The Kiss Beautiful Brow Kit in Medium* (£9.95) really is the ultimate at home brow bar. The kit contains everything you need for the perfect pair of brows, theres two brow powders to fill in your brows, these can be used singly or mixed together to create your perfect shade and amount of depth, a highlighter to brighten the eye area and highlight that brow bone, a spoolie and a clear brow wax to tame and shape unruly brow hairs, four eyebrow stencils to help get the shape right (great for beginners I just add) and theres even a mini razor!
The two brow powders within this kit are very soft, blendable and super pigmented without being to stark and harsh, personally I love the fact that you get the choice of the two different brow shades within this kit as it allows you to have full control over the look you want and you can mix and match to achieve that perfect brow. I've actually been using the darkest shade with a light hand to add in small brow hairs with tiny brush strokes, it's creates such a lovely effect. The brow wax and the little spoolie within this kit are really handy, I must admit I don't use brow wax everyday but I love the fact it's there for when you have those pesky brow hairs that are unruly and stick out of place, it's also great to have if you want to create a very sculpted striking brow. And lastly within the brow palette we have the highlighter.... I'm so impressed with this highlighter, the quality and the shade is stunning, it doesn't contain any chunky glitters it's just a super pretty champagne colour that also looks great swept across the cheekbones too as well as the brow bone!
As I mentioned before this kit does contain four stencils - Natural, Delicate, Dramatic and Sexy! The stencils have all bases covered and are perfect for beginners or if you really struggle getting the shape of your brows just right, then these stencils really do help. And finally I LOVE the mini razor within this set, I actually trim and pluck my eyebrows myself and never go to a salon so the little razor is just what I need to help me when I have a brow grooming sesh!
Overall I love this little kit, it does a great job of making my brows look thicker and more defined without looking harsh or fake. And as I said before I love the fact you get the two brow shades as you can create natural or fuller brows and the choice means it will be more suited to lots of different brow shades.

You can find the Kiss Beautiful Brow Kit for £9.95 HERE.

Have you tried the Kiss Beautiful Brow Kit beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!!

What's On My Bedside Table?

Hey beaut's!

I love a bit of bedside beauty these days, there was often times in the past where I'd forget my night cream and wake up with the driest face, or my hand cream would be stashed in my handbag so I'd forget to apply it before bed (more like I couldn't be bothered to get out of bed to get it he he) so I now have everything I need right before bed on my bedside table, that way I can add my potions and lotions right from my bedside he he.
The first two products that have to be on my bedside table are my beloved Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep and my Clinque Pep Start Eye Cream, if these two aren't right next to me before bed I simply forget to apply them, and seeing as my skin loves this duo so much forgetting them can not be an option. The Skin Sleep nourishes my skin so much overnight and leaves me with a fresher complexion in the morning, it's a great night cream if you wake up to really dull skin because it combats that straight away! The Pep Start Eye Cream is so thick and moisturising and although it's meant to be a morning eye cream I love using it at night instead because it soothes my tired eyes but also makes my eyes appear brighter in the morning, it feels so luxurious too like I'm really treating my eyes he he.

I also have to slather my lips with lip balm right before I go to sleep otherwise I wake up with super dry lips and my all time favourite is the Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. I have loads of these lip balms in all different scents because the formula is so nice and does a great job at long term moisturising, I hate those lip balms that only make your lips feel nourished for half an hour, I like one that will keep my lips soft and ready for lipstick for hours and Burt's Bees does just that. Finally I HAVE to have hand cream on my bedside table at all times, my hands get sooooo dry, I'm so hard on my hands day to day so at night I whack a thick layer of Soap & Glory's Hand Food on, I actually put so much on that it doesn't sink in straight away but I think that works best for me as it nourishes all night then.

What are your bedside beauty essentials beaut's? I'd love to know!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Review

Hey beaut's!

At Christmas I was lucky enough to get a Smashbox Gift Set containing one of their best selling primers that I always hear so many good things about but have never tried, so as you can tell this went down an absolute treat with me an I couldn't wait to tear into the box and try it he he.

The Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer is a colourless, silicone-based primer that not only creates the perfect long lasting base for foundation but helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores
When using the Smashbox Primer the first thing I noticed was that a little goes a long way during the application process, I only focus primers on my t-zone really because that's the only place I tend to get slightly oily and have pores and I've found half a pea size amount is plenty, it really spreads out and goes far so I can see my tube lasting me a really long time. Once applied, any shine on my skin is at bay and I definitely notice a huge difference when it comes to my pores, they appear somewhat filled in and my foundation applied and sat a lot smoother on my skin. As for lasting power, my foundation (Revlon Color Stay) usually lasts really well on my skin anyway however the first place it will always fade is my chin for some reason, and I did notice a slight improvement in this and it never went patchy at all throughout a full day.

The Smashbox primer also contains a lightweight blend of vitamins A and E, grape seed extract and green tea whilst also being oil free so it's a great one for oily-combination skin as it's not adding any extra oil to the face, to be honest I would recommend this primer to any skin types unless you have very dry skin, I tend to get dry patches now and again around my face but the primer never enhanced those at all, it's such lovely stuff and definitely worth the hype in my opinion.

You can find the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer for £26.00 HERE.

Have you tried the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Becca Glow On The Go 'Moonstone' Review

Hey beaut's!

If you read my 'What I Got For Christmas' post (HERE) you may have seen that I received the gorgeous Becca Glow On The Go Gift Set in Moonstone. I've had Becca makeup (particularly the highlighters) on my wish list for such a long time, so this little set went down an absolute treat with me on Christmas morning because it's such a great way for me to try two Becca products without committing to buying the full size versions straight away.
Within the Becca Glow On the Go Shimmering Skin Perfector Set you get a travel size tube of the Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight which is a liquid highlighter, alongside the cutest travel sized version of the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Powder, both of which come in the‘Moonstone’ shade which is a gorgeous, warm golden pearl colour that is perfect for creating a beautiful, 'lit from within' look whilst also making those cheekbones, brow bones and cupid’s bow pop!
After giving these beauties a whirl I can now see what all the fuss is about when it comes to Becca highlighters, as their bloody fantastic and stunning! Enriched with nourishing vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to strengthen, repair and protect your complexion, the two textures within this set complement each other beautifully. The warm, champagne coloured liquid highlighter creates the perfect base for the powder highlighter to sit on top of or it can be used alone to add a healthy, dewy glow to the skin, also because it's a cream product it can easily be mixed with your foundation too which will look stunning in the summer months.
The pressed powder version of Moonstone is just as beautiful as the liquid version, it's super pigmented, buttery soft to swatch, long lasting and a little bit of this definitely goes a long way so a light hand is needed during application for sure. Again this gives a gorgeous warm, champagne coloured glow to the skin and even though it contains the smallest shimmering particles within it, it never looks chunky, glittery or disco ball-esk he he. I'm so happy I finally got to try these Becca highlighters, they certainly didn't disappoint, now I want to try Opal and Champagne Pop, oh dear sorry bank balance!

You can find the Becca Glow On the Go Shimmering Skin Perfector Set on Cult Beauty for £20.00 although I do think theres a wait list a the moment, Space NK also stock it too.

Have you tried the Becca Moonstone Highlighter beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know.

January Beauty Wishlist

Hey beaut's!

Now I know Christmas was only a mere few weeks ago but still my beauty wish list is ever growing, theres always some new release I cant wait to get my hands on or a raved about product that I feel I HAVE to try, so today I thought I'd share with you what has currently left love heart shapes in my eyes he he. Firstly I'm dying for the rest of the Too Faced Sweet Peach collection to be released, I got the eyeshadow palette when it was released last year and I'm still obsessed so their new highlighting palette definitely has my name on it. Real Techniques have just launched a brand new brush collection called MultiTech and the eye brush set and makeup sponge look amazing, a definite must try for me I think. Andddd I'm still lusting after the ever so popular Tanya Burr Pink Cocoa Lipstick and the NYX Neutrals Palette, both look seriously stunning and would fit into my makeup collection perfectly right about now!

Makeup Brand of 2016 | MAC

Hey beaut's!

During 2016 I bought and road tested a shed load of makeup, honestly I have enough makeup to last me a lifetime with some to spare he he but the one brand that stands out to me the most throughout last year was Mac!
I'd say I was quite late to the Mac party and only started buying and collecting their makeup over the last couple of years but once I started I couldn't stop. During 2016 I added more pretties to my collection and got totally addicted to MAC lipsticks in particular, I'd say the lipsticks where actually my all round Mac 2016 favourite, Twig, Faux and Brave have literally been worn by me more or less everyday and I'd never be without those shades in my handbag now.
Eye shadows are something else from Mac that I loved in 2016, I purchased their Burgundy Times Nine Palette to wear throughout Autumn and loved it so much, I also have a bit of an obsession with Satin Taupe and All That Glitters Eye shadows too and wore them to death throughout 2016.
I also branched out to some of Mac's base products last year starting with their Fix+ Spray which is amazing by the way, and then went on to get the travel size Strobe Cream which if your a lover of a dewy, healthy look to the skin you need in your life.

Overall I've absolutely loved Mac makeup during 2016 and I hope to add a lot more of their pretties to my makeup collection this year, I've already got my eye on some more lipsticks and I'd love some of Mariah Carey's collection if it comes back in stock.

What are your favourite Mac makeup finds? I'd love to know beaut's!
