August Degustabox Review + £7 off Discount Code

Hi beaut's...

I have a subscription box review for you all today but it's a subscription box with a difference.... it contains yummy food and drink, so say hello to Degustabox*. Degustabox works very much like how beauty subscription boxes work, for £12.99 a month (postage included within the £12.99 price) you will receive 9 to 14 surprise food/drink products, many that are completely new to the market! So if your a bit of a foodie like myself  and you love subscription boxes your going to love this beaut's! I have to say that over the last few months the contents of each box really has been amazing, I literally cant wait to tuck in and this months certainly has me drooling he he!

This month we have 16 yummy food and drink items to sink our teeth into starting with some savoury treats from NutriPot, I had their Aromatic Thai Noodles £2.49 and their Moroccan Couscous £2.40 to try both of which where super yummy, their kind of a posher, better for you pot noodle with 50% of your daily vitamin and mineral needs, pretty cool huh! I absolutely love a curry and I'm always making them at home so I was super happy to see three things from the brand Geeta's to try, theres a Tikka Curry Paste £1.00, Rogan Josh Curry Paste £1.00 and Mango Chutney to give a whirl.

Moving on to some bits perfect for breakfast we have a box of Dorset Cereals Bircher Muesli in Raspberry and Blackcurrant flavour £3.49, I love having this with a vanilla yogurt topped with some fresh fruit, it's such a yummy, healthy breakfast and I adore the little measuring cup Degustabox threw in too. We also have a box of Clipper Lime and Ginger Green Tea £1.59, I'm not the biggest fan of green tea however I'm still keen to try this to see if the lime and ginger flavouring makes it taste yummy!

Then I have a couple of snacky bits in my box this month starting with the Willy Chase's Fit Corn in Apple Cider Vinegar £2.19, now I do love popcorn but I wasn't too keen on this flavour however I love that this brand ventures into different more unusual flavours, I think it's really cool! The last two snacky bits are by Rakusen's Snackers, these are healthy crackers that contain just 7 calories per cracker and as I blooming well love crackers these two bags didn't last long in my house, I enjoyed mine with cheese and also dipping in salsa, yum! I also got some Sweet and Sticky Barbecue Sauce and Marinade by Tabasco £1.99, we go through bottles of barbecue sauce in our house so I cant wait to start using this, it certainly wont be around for long!

Last up this month I have some drinks, starting with the Get More Multivitamins Sparkling Lemon and Lime £1.45, to me this tasted just like Sprite or 7up however it's so much better for you and contains 6 varieties of vitamins, natural flavours and theres no added sugar! Another refreshing drink I had this month is Fentimans Sparkling Lime and Jasmine. The alcholic drink we have this month is by Mahou Cinco Estrellas £1.20, which is a premium Spanish lager that my boyfriend actually loves so he will be polishing this off.

Degustabox have kindly given me a discount code for all of my beautiful readers, all you have to do is pop BLDEG15 into the promotional code box and you'll receive a whopping £7.00 discount when registering making your first box just £5.99. And don't worry beaut's, theres no commitments with Degustabox meaning you can cancel your subscription free of charge before the 10th of any month, but I mean why would you cancel monthly surprise food treats ha ha!

What do you think of the Degustabox concept beaut's?? I'd love to know your thoughts.

August Beauty Favourites ♥

Hey beaut's!

It's that time again.... Monthly favourites time! Wow hasn't this month gone quick, I know I say that every month but I cant quite believe how quick these months are whizzing past, is anyone else getting super, super excited for all things Autumn/Winter and of course not forgetting Christmas, I literally cant wait for Summer to be over with now, I'm so ready for my favourite time of year - Autumn!!!
Anywho this month I have a mix of a couple of old faithfuls and some new things that I've been using a lot that I'm in absolute love with. Firstly I've been reaching for my Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette loads in August, it's just the perfect everyday palette and the actual quality of the eyeshadows is insane, they are so pigmented, buttery soft, easy to work with and blend like a dream. My favourite shades at the moment are Peaches'N'Cream, Puree, Luscious and Charmed, I'm Sure, arhhhh this palette is just stunning and I absolutely love it!

Then I have two things from MAC that I've obsessed with and I've found that they work so well together. Firstly it's the Face and Body Foundation in N1, this is so lightweight and dewy and has been perfect in the hotter weather we've been having in the UK recently because it basically feels like your wearing nothing. Then to set everything into place I've been using my Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus, this is such a lovely setting powder which doesn't feel heavy or cakey despite it's amazing coverage!

My next favourite this month is my Real Techniques Blush Brush. This Blush Brush is amazing and so multi-purpose, of course it is meant for blush application but I've been loving it with everything from my setting powder to my bronzer and even blending in my foundation, and honestly beaut's it blends foundation in like a dream, you have to try it out!

I actually finished my NYX Wonder Stick right at the beginning of August (contour stick) so I needed to find a replacement pretty sharpish so I decided to give the new NYX Sculpt & Highlight Face Duo a go and wow I love it! Cream contouring is definitely the way forward because it's just so easy to use and blend and because the Sculpt & Highlight Face Duo has a concealer like formula it honestly takes seconds to apply and lasts all day! I'm so happy I picked this little beauty up now!

My last favourite this month is the gorgeous Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle Sparkling Perfume, oh my goodness beaut's this perfume is like pure perfection for me, Macaron and Cotton Candy are at the heart of this fragrance which makes it so sweet and girlie and I'm just so in love with it!

What have you been loving this month beaut's? I'd love to know!

Zoella Beauty Christmas Collection

Hey beaut's!

You may have seen the other day that I done a post all about the gorgeous Tanya Burr's 2016 Christmas Collection and today I'm back with a write up on Zoella's Christmas offering, which I must admit is my hands down favourite out of the two. This year I feel like Zoella's Christmas Collection isn't so 'young' and will appeal to everyone of all ages which I love, the packaging is super cute and I absolutely love the 'brown paper packages tied up with string' vibe. Everything within this collection is...wait for it... gingerbread scented, oh my goodness gingerbread is not only one of my favourite things in life but it's just so festive and christmasy isn't it. The range consists of some smaller gifts such as a yummy hand cream (which I need in my life asap), a cute shower gel-filled bauble and a lip balm duo which would all make perfect stocking fillers, to bigger gifts such as the big pamper hamper and the Let's Go Places tin. Theres also a fizz bar trio, cosmetic bags galore and Zoella has even made her very own set of crackers this year which I think is amazing if your having a Christmas night in with the girls or you could even buy a box of them and place one cracker in each of your friends stockings, it's such a cute idea.

Prices of the gifts start from £6.00 to £50.00 so theres certainly a gift for everyone whether you want something small or big, most of them are currently out of stock on the Superdrug website at the moment however you can sign up to get notified by email when each item your after comes back in stock, I've actually done this for a few bits I'm interested in and I would highly recommend it as I can see this collection being very hard to get hold of as I assume it will sell out instantly!

Tanya Burr Christmas Collection

Hey beaut's!

It's that time of year again.... Yup, Christmas is just a mere few months away and I for one am totally excited, I absolutely adore Autumn/Winter and Christmas and seeing all the pretty gifts in the shops gets me so excited, so when I was browsing the Superdrug website the other day and came across some Christmas gifts by the gorgeous Tanya Burr I literally had love hearts in my eyes and had to share them with you all today! The collection consists of 10 gifts so far, I have no idea if more will be added but there are 10 gifts currently on the Superdrug website to choose from. The gifts range from little nail polish + nail file sets which make perfect stocking fillers to all new makeup palettes and theres even more lavish gifts like the beauty box that contains lots of Tanya Burr goodies. Also if you loved the Tanya Burr Advent Calender last year, then you'll be pleased to know that she has brought it back this year with the same '12 days of Christmas' theme. Prices start from £5.00 to £50.00 so theres certainly a gift for everyone whether you want something small of big and most of them are currently in stock on the Superdrug website too, so if you see something you'd like or that you know you want to buy for someone this Christmas I'd suggest getting it quick if last year is anything to go by!

Luxury Face of the Day!

Hey beaut's!

The other day when I was doing my makeup I thought it would be kind of cool to whip out some of my luxury makeup and do my entire face with it all to see if there was much of a difference with wear and lasting power, this was actually super interesting for me as I never ever wear a full face of luxury makeup but I must admit my makeup did stay in place and looked pretty good all day without any patchiness! Anywho onto what I used....

Base
For my base makeup I kicked things off with MAC's Strobe Cream as a primer and MAC's Studio Sculpt Foundation, these two together give such a flawless glowy/dewy look to my skin which I'm all about. The MAC foundation is actually a shade too dark for me (I'm NW15, this foundation is NW20) so I can only really use it in the summer months when I have some colour to my skin, it's a shame I cant use this foundation all year round really because I adore the formula of this foundation. For concealer I used my Estee Lauder Double Wear in Light, this is super heavy duty concealer and covers so well yet it feels so lightweight on the skin, I'd totally recommend this if your looking for a heavy coverage concealer. To warm up my skin I used the Benefit Hoola Bronzer and Benefit Rockateur Blush which are both in my Benefit Real Cheeky Party Tin that I got last crimbo and to highlight of course I used my trusty Mary-Lou Manizer which admittedly I use every single day without fail.

Eyes
For my eyes I used my very battered and bruised Urban Decay Naked Palette, I've had this palette for years, it was the very first luxury makeup item I ever got and I still love it and use it to this day. I'm really into the shade Sidecar at the moment, I've been wearing it all over the lid with some of Buck and Naked blended through the crease. For liner I went for my MAC Precision Liquid Liner to create my flicks and Benefit's Bad Gal Eyeliner on my waterline, and then I finished things off with a couple of coats of the Lancome Grandiose Mascara, which is an amazing mascara by the way!

Brows
For my brows I've been keeping things super simple and just filling in any gaps or real sparse area's with my Benefit Goof Proof brow pencil and then setting everything into place with the Benefit Gimme Brow, brow gel. These two work so well together and the Gimme Brow in particular is such a favourite of mine, its literally the best tinted brow gel I've ever tried and because it contains tiny micro fibres that adhere to skin and brow hairs it  creates natural-looking fullness and definition, so you never get that fake, blocky looking brow.

Lips
Lastly on my lips I went for my MAC Faux Lipstick which I've been obsessed with again recently, it's the perfect muted mauve/pink shade that goes with any makeup look day or night and the satin finish is my favourite.

What are your favourite luxury makeup items to use on a daily basis beaut's? Do you ever do a full face of luxury makeup? I'd love to know!

Top 5 Makeup Products Under £5!

Hey beaut's!

When it comes to make up I'm a real bargain hunter, of course I love fancy high end make up but my purse certainly doesn't he he, so I love it when I find absolute gems in the drugstore that are not only affordable but amazing in quality too. So today I thought I would share with you all my top five make up items that are all under £5.00, some I have even repurchased over and over!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair £4.19
The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is hands down the best concealer I've ever tried from the high street, I even prefer it to some of the higher end concealers I own and I kid you not I've probably repurchased this concealer 10+ times over the years, I even use to buy it when Collection where called Collection 2000, I love it that much! It just has the most gorgeous creamy texture that blends beautifully and provides a medium to full coverage without looking cakey, it covers my blemishes, redness and dark under eye circles with ease and lasts all day without needing any touch ups, in a word its 'brillaint'!

Barry M Lip Liner in #15 Rose £2.99
As far as lip liners go I think Barry M have an amazing collection, theres lots of gorgeous shades to choose from and the formula is lovely, they are velvety soft to apply whilst still being firm enough to create precise lines and the texture once on the lips is stunning.

Miss Sporty Studio Lash The Miaoww Eye Liner £2.99
Like the Collection concealer the Miss Sporty Studio Lash The Miaoww Eye Liner is my all time favourite liquid liner and it came at a bit of a surprise to me to be honest, I picked it up on a total whim last year purely because it was only £2.99 and I loved the shape of it's nib, but Miss Sporty was a brand I never really bought anything from so I wasn't expecting much if I'm honest. However its absolutely amazing and one of the best high street liquid liners I've ever used, it's just so easy to apply and so precise and the formula is so inky black and long lasting. If your into liquid liner or even if your a newbie to liquid liner you definitely have to try this bad boy out!

Collection #BlushAndGlow Palette £4.99
The Collection #BlushAndGlow Palette is just so convenient and never leaves my makeup bag, it contains a matte bronzer, a matte pink blusher, a shimmering pink blusher and a neutral highlighter all of which work amazingly well and blend out beautifully. I must admit I only really use the bronzer and the shimmery blush all the time but the fact this palette is only £4.99, has four colour options to play with and the quality is so good I think its incredible.

Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipstick in Chauffeur £3.00
Lastly but in no means least is the Makeup Revolution Chauffeur Lipstick from their Rose Gold Collection, this is literally the perfect shade of nude for me and I must say it's the only nude lipstick that I've EVER really really liked that doesn't wash me out! The formulation of these rose gold lipsticks is amazing too, I have the collection and they are all super pigmented, long lasting and have a lovely satin finish which is my favourite, for £3.00 you certainly cant go wrong!

Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle Sparkling Fragrance Review

Hey beaut's!

I'm a huge fan of Lacoste's fragrances, can you remember the iconic 'Touch Of Pink' perfume, well that was my very first perfume growing up and I still love it now to this day, so when I heard Lacoste where releasing a trio of new L.12.12 Pour Elle scents I couldn't wait to smell them and give them a whirl. Lacostes three new scents are inspired by the freedom of movement and elegance of the classic tennis skirt, and reflect the three moods of a Lacoste woman – natural, elegant and sparklingly playful.

Out of the three, I have been testing out the 'Sparkling*' scent and I'm in absolute love with it! If your into your sweeter scents then your going to love this one because it's so girlie, sweet and playful and I think the packaging really reflects that too. Macaron and Cotton Candy are at the heart of this fragrance so as you can imagine when wearing this you smell good enough to eat, however even though this is such a super sweet scent I never find it sickly and the fruity top notes and musky base notes really do help to balance this fragrance out!

Top Notes: Mandarin, Red Apple, Blackberry

Heart Notes: French Macaron Accord, Cotton Candy, Lily of the Valley

Base Notes: Patchouli, Vetiver, Cashmere, Musk
The wear time for 'Sparkling' on me is great, it's not too strong or overpowering and it sits on the skin (or your clothes, as I go mad and spritz all over sometimes ha ha) exactly how it comes out of the bottle, and I really like that about a perfume. I've also found it to be quite a complimentary perfume where a lot of people can smell it on me and they seem to love it and ask what I'm wearing, and my Mum absolutely adores it too so I will be buying her a bottle soon I'm sure.

Overall I LOVE this new scent from Lacoste and I definitely want to collect the other two as well, I have been into store and had a whiff of the other two scents and liked them both but Sparkling is the definite favourite for me. I think it's well balanced sweetness won it for me and I find it to be the perfect daytime scent for me too.

All three of the Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle fragrances are available nationwide and cost £29.99 for the 30ml bottle, £39.99 for the 50ml bottle and £55.00 for the 90ml bottle. You can find them all HERE.

Do you have any of the new Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle fragrances? Which is your favourite? I'd love to know!

My Evening Skincare Routine!

Hey beaut's!

Today I thought I'd talk all things skincare and in particular my evening skincare routine. I watch some videos on YouTube and see people use 10+ products on their face before bed which is fine if that's what your skin needs but personally for me I'm not about that life, and have found four holy grail skincare products that I now repurchase over and over so I thought I'd share them with you all today and talk you through my routine.

Firstly it's all about having a good ole cleanse, this is my favourite step in my evening skincare routine because I love that feeling of a fresh clean face and I love using my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser for this, I've been using this for a good 3 months now and its honestly changed my cleansing life. I used to always use micellar waters before but since using Liz Earle's bottle of joy my skin has changed so much and for the better, my dry patches I've always suffered from have vanished, I've noticed a huge difference in the size of my pores, they have really shrunk and I definitely don't have as many blackheads around my nose as I did before and my skin always feel so soft, fresh and clean after using this cleanser too.

Secondly I like to use my Ole Henriksen Truth Facial Water as a toner, this feels so nice on the skin after cleansing because its so cooling and refreshing on the skin but also has moisturising qualities that my skin is always lusting after, after a long day. It's great at adding a really natural glow to the skin too which I love.

The next step in my evening skincare routine is moisturising my skin and for this I use Vichy's Skin Sleep. This stuff is incredible, it's a gel like balm with a lovely light texture that sinks into the skin quickly and smells incredibley good. In the mornings I'm left with super soft, hydrated, fresh looking skin which is just what I need and look for in a night cream.

The last step in my skincare routine is my Clinque Pep-Start Eye Cream, this is probably best used in the mornings to be honest because of it brightening and de-puffing qualities but I find its super rich and moisturising and my eyes love it in the evenings.

And there you have it beaut's, my realistic evening skincare routine! Even though I use four products it honestly takes me no time at all to rub these lotions and potions in, all I need is five minutes and I'm done, so I really don't find this a chore at all.

What are your holy grail evening skincare products beaut's? I'd love to know!

Benefit 'Dew The Hoola' Magazine Freebie + Review

Hey beaut's!

Benefit have been at it again... Yup theres another freebie up for grabs and this time it's in the shape of the ever so popular 'Dew The Hoola' liquid bronzer, so make sure you grab yourself a copy of the September issue of Elle Magazine! I've actually been using my sample of Dew The Hoola for a little while now so I thought I'd do a cheeky review for you all today and let you know my thoughts.
Benefit's Dew The Hoola is a soft matte liquid-come gel bronzer, that promises to give us a year-round glow, without the gleam. I literally couldn't wait to give this a go because liquid bronzers are quite hard to come by and personally I had never tried one before so I had no idea what to expect. What I really love about Dew The Hoola and what I quickly found out whilst experimenting with it is that you can wear it in a few different ways, firstly it can be added in with your foundation to add a more bronzed effect (think bronzed goddess) or you can just use it as your bronzer and blend it in with a makeup brush everywhere the sun would natural hit and tan your face, you can even use it for a subtle contour too because of the finish being matte!
The formula of Dew The Hoola is gorgeous and so easy to apply, it blends into the skin effortlessly without any caking or patchiness and can be built up easily until your satisfied with the amount of glow you've got going on he he. The finish is soft, matte and oh so natural, theres zero glitters or shimmers with this so it's as natural as bronzers come, and it's so lightweight, I literally don't even feel like I'm wearing it once it's on, it's lush. The shade of Dew The Hoola is quite warm, it does look slightly orange when first pumped onto the back of my hand but trust me once it's been blended into the skin it just gives a gorgeous, natural bronzed glow/flush to the skin!

Don't forget to pick up the latest isssue of Elle for your freebie beaut's!

The Body Shop Down To Earth Smokey Grey Eyeshadow Quad Review

Hey beaut's!

I've always been a fan of The Body Shop and oh my goodness aren't their body butters amazing!!! However I've never tried any of their makeup before and their latest releases seemed the perfect way to start because they all look amazing! On the 26th July The Body Shop launched six all new eyeshadow palettes, five of which are little quads which are £15.00 each and theres a bigger eyeshadow palette containing 8 shades which is £22.00. Whats so cool about all of these new palettes is that all of the individual shades all click in and out of the palettes casing, so you can switch shades between palettes and quads and get customising your perfect palette!
The shades I've been testing out are from the Smokey Grey Quad* which I would say is the perfect night out palette as you can create a killer smokey eye with this beauty. Inside the palette theres a champagne coloured highlighter shade in a metallic finish, a matte dark grey, a glittery silver and the final shade within the palette is metallic gunmetal grey. Each shade is so buttery soft to swatch, highly pigmented, easy to use and they blend out beautifully, they don't crease or fall down and the lasting power is really impressive on me considering I have oily eyelids. These shadows also contain no petrolatum, no mineral oil, are 100% vegan and are suitable for the most sensitive of eyes which I can vouch for as my eyes are quite sensitive and I've had no problems with these eyeshadows what so ever!
Overall I absolutely love this palette and love the whole concept behind The Body Shops new eye shadow palettes. Theres four other quads to collect with gorgeous colour combinations and like this palette, all of the other palettes are customisable too. As for the price I'd say these are quite middle of the road, there not too expensive at £15.00 per quad but it’s not super cheap either, however the eyeshadows pans are a good size and the quality is very very good!

Have you tried any of the new Body Shop eyeshadow quads? Which is your favourite? I'd love to know!

Soap and Glory Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel Moisturiser Review

Hey beaut's!

I'm really into my skincare at the moment, I think it's because I'm getting that bit older now and I've realised how important it is to have a good skincare routine in place. Whilst I've been perfecting my skincare routine I've been trailing and testing lots of different creams, lotions and potions and theres one product from the high street that I've been loving and had to share with you all today and that's the  Soap and Glory Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel Moisturiser! Wowza that's a mouthful he he.

The Soap and Glory Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel* is a super moisturising day cream that claims to instantly plump up moisture from within,  smooths fine lines and  wrinkles, energises and refreshes the skin and locks in moisture for 24 hours giving the skin a youthful dewy healthy glow, sounds pretty amazing right! I've been using this wonderful stuff for ages now and I love it so much, it's best used on dry/dehydrated skin which is just what I suffer from but I find a lot of creams targeted towards dryer skin are super thick and heavy but this isn't at all, instead the texture and formula is lightweight and has an almost gel like consistency which is gentle, non-greasy, comforting and cooling. It also makes a great, hydrating canvas for make up to sit on top of and my skin feels so smooth, soft and slighter tighter after my application, and the scent.... wow its gorgeous, it contains watermelon fruit complex which smells so nice and fresh on the skin and makes it enjoyable to apply.
The only negative I would say is that the Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel doesn't contain any SPF, now I know that's not a huge biggy because most foundations have SPF in these days and I can always apply one under my moisturiser, but it is nice if your daily moisturiser already contains the SPF isn't it. That being said their are lots of lovely ingredients in this beauty such as Vitamin C which helps to brighten up the complexion, shea butter and vegetable oil to both moisturise and soothe the skin, along with Sodium Hyaluronate for a deeper dose of hydration.

Overall I absolutely love this stuff and would highly recommend it to anyone with dry to very dry skin like myself, it's just so nice to use because even though it's heavy duty it feels lightweight and is absorbed into the skin beautifully. It leaves my skin feeling so hydrated, smoother, brighter and comforted, and I imagine this will work amazingly in the Autumn and Winter months too when the skins at it's driest. It's super affordable to at just £13.00 in Boots!

Have you tried the Soap and Glory Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel Moisturiser beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know.

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream Review

Hey beaut's!

I've pretty much been obsessed with trying out all different types of eye cream recently, I have quite a dry, tired under eye area and dark circles are always a problem for me so I'm always on the hunt for the perfect eye cream which led to me to try the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream, Ive been using this for around a month and a half now and thought it was finally time I shared my thoughts on it with you all.

The Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream claims to hydrate, brighten, and perk our eyeballs up leaving us looking wide awake in just 3 seconds, and lets face it we always want to look perkier and more awake in the mornings don't we. To apply the cream all you have to do is pop the funky little ball tip up with your thumb, gently squeeze a small amount of the eye cream onto the ball applicator tip (a little goes a long way with this), swipe the tip in circular motions around the eye area, including your eye lids and then use your fingers just to gently tap in any excess cream until its completely absorbed. The cream can be used twice a day, morning and night and you can even reapply throughout the day if your eye area is feeling extremely dry.
As far as formula's go this is lovely and I really have no complaints, it has a rich, thick, creamy texture that melts into the eye area within seconds without feeling oily or greasy, and I can definitely feel a cooling sensation whilst it's being absorbed too, this sensation is great at de-puffing and soothing the eye area in the mornings. I also love how this cream really helps brighten up my under eye area making it look less dark and dull and it hydrates brilliantly leaving a great base for makeup such as my concealer, it just makes everything a lot smoother and reduces creasing.

Overall I have been obsessed with this eye cream from Clinique, I've noticed that my eye area is much more nourished, smooth and brighter and it's certainly a step I NEVER miss in the mornings now, I also love using this at night too because it feels so luxe and like I'm really treating my eyes he he.

Have you tried the Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Makeup Revolution I ♥ Makeup I ♥ My Lips Lip Balm Collection

Hey beaut's!

I have some exciting news for you all today, firstly some of my favourite, affordable makeup brands such as Makeup Revolution, I ♥ Makeup and Freedom Makeup have all been merged together on a brand new website named Tam Beauty, this means you can shop all of the brands together on one website and only have to pay the one shipping fee woohoo. Secondly I have a pretty cool new launch to share with you all from I ♥ Makeup, this time around they have launched a collection of  five different lip balms named I ♥ My Lips that are just £2.99 each.

The I ♥ My Lips Lip Balm's* come packaged in colourful rubberised, bullet shaped casings with the balm itself being an easy to use rounded shape somewhat similar to those EOS Lip Balms. What I will say about  these packaging wise is after a few hours of me receiving these from Makeup Revolution I was playing around with them and testing them out on myself and I just suddenly realised none of mine had a barcode on or an ingredients list so I assumed mine must off been missing some sort of cardboard outta packaging? After checking the website out I was right, they should have come in cardboard packaging so I was a bit miffed that I had got all excited when they arrived and I immediately tried all of mine out after realising they where not securely packaged. I would assume if you bought these they would come securely packaged but I felt I needed to add this information within my review just in case.
Packaging drama aside, like I said I did try all of the balms out before realising so I can tell you my honest thoughts on these. The I ♥ Makeup I ♥ My Lips Lip Balm Collection consists of five different scented lips balms, theres Cool Vanilla, Wild Strawberry, Blueberry Crush, Mint Sorbet and Raspberry Fizz, they do all smell incredibly nice with Raspberry Fizz and Wild Strawberry being my favourite scents within the collection. Each balm is said to replenish, hydrate, soften and protect your lips and when you very first apply them they really do make my lips feel lovely and soft and moisturised but there definitely isn't a long lasting effect with these, for instance I wouldn't say these would keep your lips feeling nourished for hours but if your looking for a moisture boost there and then these are great for that, they make good lip balms to prep your lips with before you apply a lipstick too.
Overall and in all honesty I'd say these are OK but nothing ground breaking, I do absolutely adore Makeup Revolution and I ♥ Makeup and theres nothing much from them I can usually grumble over but... the packaging drama was slightly annoying for me as I think they should have arrived securely sealed but the balm itself was OK for an immediate moisture boost and they are handy to have in your handbag or pocket because they are small and compact. I must add I loved all of the scents, they are so fragrant and very realistic and it makes the balms very pleasent to apply thats for sure!

Miss Sporty Studio Lash The Miaoww Eye Liner Review

Hey beaut's!

I absolutely love a good ole winged liner look, I basically wear winged liner everyday which means I've tried my fair share of liquid liners over the years, and it wasn't until about a year ago until I found my perfect liquid liner, don't get me wrong I have a few liners that I do love but this one in particular is so good in so many ways, so say hello to the Miss Sporty Studio Lash The Miaoww Eye Liner!
I must admit when first bought Miss Sporty's Studio Lash The Miaoww Eye Liner it was on a total whim purely because it was only £2.99 and I loved the shape of it's nib, but Miss Sporty is a brand I never really buy anything from so I wasn't expecting much if I'm honest. However it turns out that I loved it and this one I'm reviewed today is the third one I've repurchased!
The Miss Sporty Studio Lash The Miaoww Eye Liner has an ultra thin felt pen style applicator which is great for creating very sharp, precise lines and if you struggle with feline flicks then this eyeliner will really make things easy for you. The tiny nib works great for any detailed work and for creating very thin lines, which is nice for those days when you want a less dramatic eyeliner look or if you have small eyelids like myself, this eyeliner is great because it doesn't take up much lid space that thicker liners are prone to doing. The liner itself is very easy to use and control, the nib has a good amount of flexibility but is sturdy at the same time and applies really smoothly with no tugging at the skin or skipping which is great! The formula of the Miss Sporty liner is great, it's inky black and long lasting, it dries matte and isn't glossy at all, it doesn't smudge, run or flake throughout the day and each eyeliner pen lasts so long, I was expecting them to dry out quite quickly considering how affordable they are but the one I bought a year ago still works it's just the pigment isn't as inky black anymore.
Overall I absolutely LOVE the Miss Sporty Studio Lash The Miaoww Eye Liner, the ultra fine nib creates such beautiful looking, precise liner in seconds and I think a beginner would get on really well with this style of liner too. I cant fault the formula on my eyes at all and the price is so good, if you love liquid liner and haven't tried this one beaut's then grab yourself one to try from Superdrug, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!
