Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen Review

Hey beaut's!

I'm pretty obsessed with liquid liner at the moment, I wont leave the house unless I have my trademark winged liner on which has led me to trying loads of different liners and I've found that the felt tip style are definitely my best friends, however I have tried my fair share of good and bad felt-tip style liquid liners but today I have an absolutely brilliant one to share with you all, the Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen* in Noir.
The Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen is by far the easiest liner I've used to date, the felt-tip nib is perfect at delivering smooth, precise lines whether you want them thick of thin, it isn't to hard or to soft, it has the right amount of flexibility to create wings/flicks with absolute ease and I would highly recommend this liner if you do struggle with creating liner flicks as the Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen makes it so easy, I certainly wish I had this when I was perfecting the art of liquid liner as it would have been so much easier for me to learn. The formula of the Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen is great... It is water-based so does come out quite wet and inky and takes a few seconds to dry and it contains special pigments that ensure long wear and keeps it's bold black colour from running. The finish of the liner is slightly shiny and still looks quite inky but personally I love that look, it isn't waterproof but once this liner sets, it does not seem to budge or transfer what so ever. My overall experience based on regular work days is it honestly doesn't budge all day and looks the same late at night as when I applied it first thing in the morning.
Overall I'm so impressed by this liner, it's everything I want and look for in a liquid liner, it's easy to use, creates wing/flicks with ease, stays put all day without fading or smudging, doesn't tug at the delicate skin around the eye area during application and the felt-tip nib is of great quality with a firm tip that doesn't fray at all. The only down side I'd say it that it is pricey at £30.00 from the Cosme-De website, but then again that's to be expected if your looking at higher end liners and I have to admit pricey or not its worth every penny because its blooming brilliant! So if your looking to treat yourself or splurge then I'd highly recommend the Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen.

Have you tried the Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!!

Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit Review

Hey beaut's!

A while ago I picked up the Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit in Boots on an absolute whim, at the time I hadn't seen many reviews at all but was looking for an affordable contour kit that was easy to use on everyday basis, and finally I have found one!
The Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit is packaged in a thick, reinforced cardboard style palette much like Barry M's eyeshadow palettes. When opening up the flip up lid your not met with a mirror but instead theres an easy to follow, step by step guide which helps you make the most out of the palette, this is also great if your new to contouring because it really takes you back to basics and makes things very easy for you.
The Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit contains three medium sized pressed powders, a highlighter, a bronzer and a contour powder. The first powder in the palette is the highlighter which I love, it's a soft, ivory coloured highlight that is about 90% matte and 10% sheen, the sheen isn't very obvious but it is most definitely there, theres no unnecessary glitter particles that some highlighters contain which makes it great to use as you would a normal highlighter but also to brighten underneath the eye area further after concealing.  The next powder is the bronzer which I've really been enjoying using, it's a matte warm toned bronzer which really does add warmth to the face, I love the fact it's fully matte because sometimes when bronzers contain shimmer or glitter it looks very un-natural so the fact Barry M's offering doesn't makes me very happy he he. Lastly we have the contour powder which is a matte deep brown shade with a some what grey undertone, I've been obsessed with how nice this looks when blended on the skin, the grey undertones really do help create natural looking shadows and it just works perfectly. I really have no complaints on the palettes overall quality, each of the powders with in the Chisel Cheeks Palette are very good, they all have a lovely soft texture, blend out well, are easy to work with and have great pigmentation.

Overall I absolutely love this little kit and have been using it everyday since I bought it at the beginning of February. I'd highly recommend it if your looking for a budget friendly contour kit on the high street that works amazing well at highlighting, bronzing and sculpting or if your a beginner to the contouring well this kit would be a great to learn with.

The Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit is available in Superdrug and Boots for £6.49, what a bargain!

Have you tried the Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!!

MUA Lip Switch Duo Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

I was recently having a browse at all the pretty makeup in Superdrug and decided to pick up a couple of lip products from the MUA stand, I haven't actually bought anything from MUA in a while but was taken in by a couple of their pretty new releases so I thought I'd treat myself to a bargain or two he he. The first thing I saw that I knew I just had to buy was their Lip Switch Duo in Persian Plum, the shade looked right up my street and the concept looked rather good too.
The Lip Switch Duo contains a moisturising matte lipstick on one end and a gloss to match the lipstick shade on the other, personally I think this is a great idea as it allows you to create a multitude of looks all in one, you can either wear the lipstick or the gloss on their own or you can layer them up together for an evening, glossy look. Their are six shade's in the Lip Switch Duo collection to collect ranging from light nude/coral/pink shades to darker red/plum shades, there's definitely a shade for everyone in the collection but I decided on 'Persain Plum', a gorgeous dark purple/plum shade, plums and berry shades are my absolute favourites and even though we are now in Spring I do still like to rock those darker shades in the evenings as I think they look super pretty.

The formula of the Lip Switch Duo is rather nice and was totally different to what I expected, the matte lipstick has a good amount of pigmentation and is actually very creamy and doesn't drag on the lips during application at all, once on the lips it isn't drying and has a slight moisturising feeling to it which is very different to your typical matte lipstick because usually they are very drying. The lasting power of the lipstick worn alone is quite good, it's lasts on me around 4 hours but it does wear off when I eat on drink so sometimes the wear time differs. The lip gloss formula surprised me too, I was expecting a gloopy, sticky gloss but instead it's actually very pleasant and not sticky at all, I do find when you wear the gloss and the lipstick together it does lessen the wear time, and sometimes the lip glosses doe foot applicator can swipe off some of the matte lipstick during application so that is something to look out for. The lipstick nore the lip gloss have a scent or taste, not that I can detect anyway, sometimes I prefer this because I can be abit sensitive when it comes to perfumed products.
Overall I do really like MUA's Lip Switch Duo, I think it's a great concept and even though I'm not a huge lip gloss lover it's always nice to have the option of wearing a matching gloss isn't it. I have worn the matte lipstick alot on its own and really do love it, I'd love to get the red shade that's in the collection because it looks gorgeous and so glam.

The Lip Switch Duo's are £3.00 each in Superdrug however I've noticed that on the MUA website they are currently half price at just £1.50 each, what a bargain!

Have you tried any of the MUA Lip Switch Duo's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!!

Makeup Revolution Iconic Elements Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey beaut's!

Makeup Revolution have done it again, they have launched another awesome, affordable eyeshadow palette that I'm just obsessed with. This time the lovelies at Makeup Revolution have added another eyeshadow palette to their popular Redemption collection, which always contain twelve eyeshadow's that are all placed in long, narrow pans and cost a very reasonable £4.00 and are usually great Urban Decay dupes. So say hello to the Makeup Revolution Iconic Elements Eyeshadow Palette*.
The Iconic Elements Eyeshadow Palette contains twelve eyeshadow's in total, eleven of which are matte and theres one shimmer to play with too. The shade range within the Iconic Elements Palette is gorgeous and right up my street, it's crammed with wearable neutral shades with a range of cooler tones and warmer tones. I must admit I do love the fact that this palette is more or less completely matte, I just find matte shades work perfectly for any daytime look and the fact the palette contains some well pigmented smokey shades you'd easily be able to rock a matte smokey eye on a night out too. The Iconic Elements Palette really reminds me of my Naked Basics 1 and 2 Palettes and could certainly be a possible dupe, if you put the six shades from each of those Urban Decay Naked Basics Palettes into one palette to make twelve shades you would have something that looked pretty identical to the Iconic Elements Palette, that might be something to bare in mind if your thinking of splurging as Makeup Revolution can save you some pennies he he.

As always I really don't have any complaints on the eye shadow's quality, you'll probably know by now that I'm a huge fan of Makeup Revolutions eyeshadow palettes. Each eyeshadow within the 'Iconic Elements' palette is very easy to work with, they blend out a treat and they last great on my oily eyelids without any creasing or fading most of the day. The palette also has a good amount of pigmentation too, the lighter shades within the palette don't really show up that well on my paler skin tone but that doesn't mean they aren't pigmented because they are, it's just because I'm ghostly at the moment ha ha. I still find the lighter shades within the palette very useful though, they work amazingly well as base shades all over the lid or as transitional shades to help blend out darker shades in the crease so they certainly wont be neglected. The darker shades within the palette really do pack a pigmentation punch and I've been enjoying these shades to define the crease, create smokey eye looks and even to fill in my brows he he.

All in all I think this is another absolute beauty bargain by Makeup Revolution, the shades within the palette are absolutely stunning and so wearable, so if your looking for a great matte eyeshadow palette that's packed full of neutrals Makeup Revolution have got you covered girls!

Have you tried the Makeup Revolution Iconic Elements Eyeshadow Palette yet beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!

I ♥ Spring Tag 2015

Hey beaut's!

Spring has officially sprung in the UK, woohoo! As much as I do love Autumn and Winter I'm totally over it now and have been craving for Spring time to arrive for soooo long! So to get myself  more in the Spring mood I thought I'd do the I ♥ Spring Tag, I haven't done a tag post since Christmas so it's certainly long overdue. Anywhoo onto the questions....

1. What are you looking forward to the most in Spring?
Firstly not being so cold all the time, I'm so fed up of having to put about five layers of clothing on every time I want to step outside the door ha ha. Secondly I'm looking forward to the lighter mornings and evenings, I find it so much easier getting out of bed in the mornings when its bright rather than when its dark and dreary and the lighter evenings are great as you feel like your getting more out of the day. And lastly picnics, I do love it when its a bright, warm, sunny day and you can go for yummy picnics, I've really missed that!

2. What's your favourite thing about Spring?
I love it when you wake up in the morning and the sun is shining, the sky's bright blue, the birds are chirping away and everything outside looks so colourful and alive, I'm so done with dreary, dull weather and I just want all the flowers to start shooting up and I want the trees to actually have leaves on them instead of just twigs and branches.

3. What is your go to Spring makeup look?
During Spring I do like to switch things up makeup wise a little bit, I'll definitely be using my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette to add some pink tones to my eyeshadow looks and I love dewy, highlighted skin in Spring so I'll be using a nice light coverage foundation or BB/CC Cream and a pretty highlighter that has a gorgeous sheen to it. For the lips I love Tanya Burr's Lip gloss either in 'Picnic in the Park' or 'Aurora' and I also love Revlon's Lip Butter in Wild Watermelon too.

4. What are some of your favourite clothing items for Spring?
I'm a huge lover of skater style dresses as they are really flattering of my curvy figure so I'll definitely be rocking some of them and I'm also into ripped jeans at the moment so I want to buy some more of them to wear throughout Spring.

5. Favourite shoes for Spring?
I love getting my Vans and Converse back out at this time of year as I live in boots during Autumn/Winter so I never get to wear them often so they'll being getting some love again soon, and on warmer days I love wearing little sandals or flip flops.

6. Favourite Spring drink?
Pink Lemonade with lots of ice... Mmmmm it so yummy!

7. Bright neon or pastel nails?
I'm more of a pastels girls in the Spring, I love delicate pinks and lilacs and of course not forgetting mint greens and powder blues. The brighter neon shades can have their moment in the Summer ha ha.

8. Favourite flower in Spring?
Arhhh this is so hard as I have so many, to narrow it down I'd have to say Tulips, Daffodils, Peonies and Daisy's.

9. Favourite perfume for Spring?
Either Marc Jacobs original Daisy scent or the new Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet (review here), they are both amazing scents for the Spring time and I've been obsessed with them recently. I also think Cheryl's Storm Flower perfume is great for Spring because it very fruity and sweet (review here).

10. Favourite hairstyle for Spring?
I must admit I'm not very experimental when it comes to my hair, I either curl/wave it or throw it up in a high pony or messy bun, however this year I'm going to try and be more creative. I do have such long hair so theres loads I could do with it, I definitely want to try the milkmaid braid and fishtail plait as I think they look super cute at this time of year, and I'm going to start using hair accessories more as they can really trick the eye and make your hair look amazing when you haven't done much to it ha ha.

Feel free to join in the Spring time fun and do the Tag beaut's, or let me know in the comments if you've already done one as I'd love to read it!

March Glossybox Review | Step Into Spring ♥

Hey beaut's!

So its that time again... Glossybox time!!! This month Glossybox have been getting into the spring time mood and have bought us a 'Step Into Spring' themed box with the promise of four full size products, woohoo!

Anywhoo lets see what I received inside my March Glossybox...

Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara | Full Size | £3.30

The first thing that caught my eye when I opened my box was this mascara by Essence, I really like the black and orange packaging and the lid has a rubberised effect to it which is great for extra grip when applying the mascara. The mascara itself is said to take your from weary to wide-eyed in just one sweep so I'm really looking forward to giving this a whirl, the cobra head-shaped wand sounds rather interesting too and is said to grab each individual lash! I have tried lipsticks from Essence before and loved them so I'm expecting good things from this mascara.

Naobay Moisturizing Peeling | Full Size | £13.71
Next we have the Naobay Moisturizing Peeling which we all knew we was getting in our box as Glossybox had revealed this last month, the product itself is actually an organic 'peeling milk' that claims to be a 'start over for the skin', it contains particles from the acai tree to remove dulling dead skin cells and also brightens the complexion. I do love a good ole skin care product and again I'm expecting good things from this.

ncLA Nail Lacquer in I Only Fly Private | Full Size | £13.00
I've heard alot of good things about ncLA nail polishes recently because they are all free from toxins so are alot better for our nails than regular nail polishes. The shade I received 'I Only Fly Private' is a gorgeous neon-pastel orange which is perfect for the Spring and the Summer and I can see it looking great on toes and against a tan too.

Sleek MakeUP Pout Paint in Port | Full Size | £4.99
I love Sleek Pout Paints, I already own a couple so I'm happy to have another in my stash, I received the shade Port which is a deep, purple toned berry which I wear alot so it's ideal for me. If you haven't tried the Pout Paints before they are basically like liquid lipsticks that stain the lips and last for hours, you can either apply a thin layer for a satin lipstick-like finish or a thicker layer for a vibrant glossy look.

Dove Advanced Hair Series Youthful Vitality Shampoo and Conditioner | Samples | £5.99 for 250ml
And lastly the only samples we received in our boxes this month was both a shampoo and a conditioner from Doves Youthful Vitality range. Even though this duo is for 'Aging Hair' I'm still going to give them a go because they are targeted towards hydrating and repairing the hair, and considering I'm growing my hair out rather long at the moment and the fact I use heat on my hair a lot it could always use a little TLC so I'm hoping this shampoo and conditioner can give my hair some loving he he.

What did you think of this month's box beaut's?? I'd love to know.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

It's that time of the year again where Spring is upon us and we need to refresh our perfume stash! Say goodbye to those deep, spicy fragrances and hello to the more light, fruity, floral scents. As I've been road testing and quite frankly addicted to the new Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet* perfume recently I thought I'd share it with all you beauties, it's just so perfect for Spring.
Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet is one of two new limited-edition Daisy fragrances by the popular designer Marc Jacobs. From the get go I pretty much knew I'd love the scent of this perfume, I'm a huge fan of Marc Jacobs line of Daisy fragrances anyway and Eau So Fresh Sorbet still has me in love with the line as it smells so gorgeous! Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet is definitely a fresher take on the fruity-floral genre. It opens up with top notes of juicy mandarin and apple blossom, it's heart notes are fresh magnolia, jasmine and dewy violet bloom and the base is musky, creamy and ever so slightly woody.
When you first spritz Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet you aren't met with a strong overpowering scent that needs time to dry down, instead you are met with a light, refreshing, fruity scent that sits on the skin beautifully, as the scent lingers on the skin throughout the day the floral notes start to come through with a slight sweet kick of vanilla. The lasting power of Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet has really impressed me, I spray about 3 spritz' (wrists, neck and of course one more for luck on my clothes ha ha) and I can honestly smell the perfume on me all day, and even when I get into bed that evening I can still smell it, it's also very much a complimentary perfume where alot of people can smell it on me and they seem to love it and ask what I'm wearing, which again is always nice. It's also a scent that I would describe as an all rounder, so it's not to young nore too mature and would be suitable for day and nighttime wear during the Spring/Summer months.
And lastly, can we just appreciate how gorgeous the packaging is... Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet comes housed in a thick glass bottle with a pretty, iconic gold lid that is decorated with 6 beautiful deep pink and purple Daisies. I think it's a very ornamental perfume bottle, I mean how pretty will the bottle look on any dressing table.

Overall like I predicted I absolutely love Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet, I'd highly recommend it if your looking for something fresh, fruity and floral for the Spring/Summer months that isn't overpowering in the slightest. You can find Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet 75ml on the Fragrance Direct website for £47.99 instead of the RRP of £56.00, yessss gotta love a saving he he.

Have you tried Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet yet beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know.
