Hi everyone! I’m Jordan, a 22 year old beauty blogger, currently on medical leave from university with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. My blog focuses mainly on beauty reviews and hauls, although in the future I’d like to try some lifestyle posts. I set up my blog mainly because I’m sure my friends and family were getting fed up of me constantly telling them about my new favourite blushes or the new products I was looking forward to trying! It has also helped me to deal with my illness a lot, being bed-bound for days on end can get very boring & lonely! Although I haven’t been blogging for long, I absolutely love it! I hope if you pop by you enjoy reading my posts as much as I enjoy writing them! x

NOTD | My Christmas Nails ♥

Hey beaut's!

I have a festive NOTD post for you all today, I thought I would share with you all how I have currently painted my nails ready for Christmas Day!

I started off by using the Essence Colour & Go nail polish in the shade Do You Speak Love, I actually received this in my December Glossybox recently and thought it would make the perfect base shade for my glitter polishes that I wanted to use. I then applied a thick coat of Barry M's Red Glitter, I absolutely love this nail polish, to me it's like Christmas in a bottle, my pictures do it no justice as it's so twinkly and sparkly in person. To finish off my Christmasy nails I wanted to add something on my accent nail so of course it had to be more glitter ha ha, I opted for Barry M's Jingle Bells which is just crammed full of little gold stars, gold hex glitters, red glitter flakes, gold flakes and minute gold glitters.
Overall I absolutely love how my Christmas nail turned out! What will you be wearing on your nails this Christmas beaut's? I'd love to know.

Barry M 'Jingle Bells' Christmas Nail Polish Review

Hey beaut's!

It's been quite a while since I've reviewed a nail polish so today I thought I'd share my thoughts on a nail polish that I've simply been obsessed with throughout December, the nail polish in question is Barry M's Jingle Bells. As the name would suggest 'Jingle Bells' is a rather festive nail polish and was specially released by Barry M as a limited edition nail paint, along with another nail paint called 'Christmas Tree', both of which are just amazingly Christmasy I tell ya he he.
Jingle Bells works amazingly as a festive top coat to go over your Christmasy reds, greens and golds, it's great for creating instant Christmas party nails if you want something noticeable but don't want to do nail art, it's just so easy yet effective. The polish itself  is made up of a clear top coat base and contains so many pretty sparkles and glitters that are suspended within it, their are little gold stars, gold hex glitters, red glitter flakes, gold flakes, minute gold glitters its just crammed full and I love it!
Jingle Bells was alot easier to apply than I first thought, usually glitter polishes that contain large amounts of glitter never apply well because it's hard to get the glitters even but because Jingle Bells is literally crammed full of glitter it seems to go on well, however I did find myself having to dab the little stars on with the end of the brush because the brush strokes seem to take the stars back off annoyingly.

Overall I think 'Jingle Bells' is definitely the most festive of the exclusive glitters Barry M have released this year, I just love the fact that it's rammed full with glitter in traditional Christmas colours and the little added star's really are like the cherry on top he he.

Have you picked up Jingle Bells yet beaut's?? I'd love to know your thoughts!!

December Glossybox Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

So its that time again... Glossybox time!!! I always get over excited about receiving a beauty box in December, because it's the month of all things festive it's very rare that you'll receive a rubbish box. The box itself this month has a red and green snowflake design which I love and find super festive, I must admit the contents this month is OK but it hasn't blown me away and to be honest I was expecting abit more but hey ho...

Anywhoo lets see what I received inside my December Glossybox...

Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek & Lip Stain in Coral | Full Size | £12.99
Firstly we have the Bellapierre Cheek and Lip Stain, we actually all got a spoiler card in our November box to tell us that we would all receive this and I have to say I really do like it. The cream formula works beautifully once warmed up slightly and adds a very subtle touch of coral to your cheeks or lips, personally I love the fact it's subtle as you can build the colour up until your heart desires, I do wish I had got more or a winter appropraite shade but the coral will work well in Spring/Summer next year.

Anatomicals Zap! Zap! Zap! Gets That Chap. Day and Night Spot Stick | Full Size | £3.79
Anatomicals products always look like good fun so I'm excited to see what this intriguing product is like, it's supposedly a double ended spot treatment which can be used day and night and claims to be a real savour, ohhh. I don't really get many spots but I'm happy to have this in my stash for when I get a pesky little blighter ha ha.

Essence Colour & Go Nail Polish in Do You Speak Love | Full Size | £2.99
Essence are a brand I would have never really tried until we received one of their lipsticks that I got in a Glossy box a few months back, it's actually ended up being one of my favourite, go to lipsticks recently so I was glad to see another one of their products had made its way into my box again. This time around I have a gorgeous, dark red nail polish to play with that's said to leave you with an intensive gel shine finish that drys rapidly, ohh I cant wait to try it.

TRESemme Renewal Hair and Scalp Treatment Shots £5.50 for a pack of 4
I love TRESemme Treatment Shots, they always work wonders on my hair so I'm excited to see what the Renewal Hair and Scalp offering is like. You actually get 4 shots in this little pack which is enough to keep me going for a month and I use one treatment shot per week usually. If you have short hair you'd most definitely get away with using one shot twice but my hair is super long and quite thick so I use a whole shot in one go.

SkinPep Hydra Boost Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum | Sample Size | 70ml £24.99
And lastly I have a 15ml sample of the SkinPep Hydra Boost Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum. We got some SkinPep sachets in a Glossybox once before which I really enjoyed using so I'm happy to see something else from the brand in the box, especially as its flipping expensive so it's definitely something I wouldn't splurge on usually. The serum actually sounds like a great product as it claims to promote healthy new skin glow, and it can be used day and night.

What did you think of this month's box beaut's?? I'd love to know.

NEW! Makeup Revolution All About Pink Blush Palette ♥

Hey beaut's!

Our lovely friends over at Makeup Revolution have another new release for us all... Yup they are the Kings and Queens of new launches aren't they he he. This time around Makeup Revolution have launched another blush palette called 'All About Pink', this follows the huge success of the Sugar & Spice, Hot Spice and newly launched Golden Sugar Blush Palettes, which I have to just add are all absolutely stunning palettes indeed.

The Makeup Revolution 'All About Pink' Palette* (£6.00) comes packaged in the usual sleek, black casing with a lovely large compact mirror inside the pull up lid which is always appreciated. The palette itself contains 8 large panned blushes with a mixture of shimmer and matte finishes perfect for creating that pinky flush, there's also a 2 shades within the palette that I think would work beautifully as highlighting powders too.
The shade range in the 'All About Pink' Palette is definitely for the girlie girls out there who are lovers of all things pink, at first glance the shades made me think of the movie Mean Girls, the 'On Wednesday We Wear Pink' quote just came to mind he he, so now I personally call this palette my Mean Girls palette ha ha. Honestly though, there's such a lovely selection of different toned pinks to choose from that would work well for different occasions, looks and even nights out too, I just love the versatility!
I've found that each pan of blush within the palette has great pigmentation and be warned a little goes a very long way with these, they also feel extremely soft to swatch making the blushes a dream to work with and they blend out beautifully. As for lasting power... their great! I've found after a good 6-8 hours I could use a little top up which I think is absolutely fine considering how affordable the palette is, I also love the fact that when the blushes do start to fade they fade evenly and don't go patchy or blotchy at all because I hate that.

Overall its another Makeup Revolution success! These Blush palettes are just great and really allow you to build your makeup collection up without having lots of single compacts laying around, they're also great for travelling as they allow you lots of choice in one single compact. All in all the 'All About Pink' palette is an absolute beaut and as always it's an amazing bargain to at just £6.00... Yup you did read that correctly, £6.00 for 8 pans of blush, that's just 75p each, you really cant get any better than that can you.

What's been your favourite Makeup Revolution new release recently beaut's?? I'd love to know.

Party Season Must Haves!

Party Season Must Haves!
Hey beaut's!

Today I thought I'd talk about all things Partyyyyyy! Yes.. the festive season is upon us and it's time to get glamed up for those Christmas/New Year Party's. There's something so nice about going to Christmas/New Year's parties, I just love the fact that everything is all sparkly and covered in sequins, it literally takes glitz and glam to another level which I absolutely love, so today Ive picked out a few of my favourite things fashion and beauty related for the party season!

Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in Ruby Red Slippers
I was lucky enough to receive this nail polish in a Glossybox yonks ago and luckily still have some left in my nail polish collection and I just had to include it in this post. It’s honestly the perfect shade for the party season, its a burgundy-black base with small glitter particles mixed with larger, hexagon-shaped glitter.

Ippolita Jewellery
I love massive statement rings on evenings out, I've chosen a ring here as rings are my preference but any statement jewellery is a must for the party season, it just depends on your outfit whether you go for earrings, necklace or a ring.

Anya Hindmarch Clutch Bag
How stunning is this clutch bag... I bought one very similar to this for my Christmas party's that I've been too and absolutely love it, I mean you just have to have a gold glittery clutch at this time of year don't you??

Short Sleeve Cocktail Dress
I'm in actual love with this sequin dress from New Look, it's just stunning and so easy to wear, just throw on some black heels and curl your hair and voila.. perfection! They also have this dress in gold which is equally as stunning.

Charlotte Tilbury Vintage Vamp Palette
Wow this Charlotte Tilbury palette is amazing and features the perfect shades for this time of the year, the mixture of captivating crimsons to sumptuous rose golds compliment each other so well. This palette is definitely going on my lust list, it's just too beautiful not to own.

Faux Fur Coat
It's absolutely freezing right now in the UK and finding a coat to keep you warm that goes with your party outfit is a nightmare, however a faux fur coat is always a winner, it keeps you so snug and warm whilst looking bang on trend.

Tanya Burr Lip Gloss In Enchanted Forest
The lovely Tanya Burr has released some brand new lip gloss shades for us all just in time for the party season and one of the new gloss shades 'Enchanted Forest' caught my eye straight away, it looks like the most beautiful, glossy, dark berry red shade, arrhh I need it in my life.

Black Ankle Strap Shoes
These party shoes from New Look are perfect for any festive party, they aren't too high so odds are they wont hurt your feet too much if your doing lots of dancing and they'll be easy to walk in too, they have a nice subtle glittery strap across the front which will go with most outfits and they generally just look lovely.

Ardell 'Demi Wispies'
No party makeup look would be complete without some gorgeous false lashes and these popular Demi Wispies by Ardell would work amazingly, they dramatic enough but not to over the top and heavy looking.

And there you have it beaut's, just a few of my Party Season Must Haves... What are yours?? I'd love to know.

Christmas Gift Guide with Flamingo Gifts

Hey beaut's!

I'm absolutely loving all the Christmas gift guides going around at the moment, it's making me feel so festive and of course helping me with prezzie idea's, and today I have a few cheeky things from an amazing website that will help you out soooo much at this time of year, that website being Flamingo Gifts. Flamingo Gifts stock a varied and unique range of gifts to suit everyone and all occasions. From kitsch to traditional, from adults to children, they have everything your heart desires, so much so you’ll find it easy to treat yourself too he he. They also cater for any budget too which I think is great.

Anywhoo, onto the gift guide....

Flamingo Candle in 'Oriental Lotus & Rose Otto'* £11.00

Candles are an absolute winner for the ladies at Christmas and this 'Oriental Lotus & Rose Otto' scent by Flamingo Candle I really do rate. The Oriental Lotus & Rose Otto candle has a floral fragrance with powdery soft top notes of rose otto and warming nuances of sweet magnolia with elements of soft lily and carnation are also present, all in all it smells incredible he he. The quality of the Flamingo Candles is just amazing, they are all handmade & poured in the UK, Eco-friendly and totally organic. They are made using soybean oil which also makes them fair trade and pesticide free. They contain natural cotton wicks which makes for cleaner, longer burning are non toxic and will burn for up to 50 hours which is just incredible. I also really favour the cute, glass flamingo jars that Flamingo Candles use for their candles as they can be cleaned and reused for storing cotton pads, cotton buds or makeup brushes.

A makeup bag is a lovely gift maybe for the younger girls getting into makeup or for any beauty lover in general, and personally I think this 50's Vintage Kellogg's makeup bag is super nice. The style, colour and size of the makeup bag itself is great, it features a retro style woman carrying her trusted variety pack of Kellogg's cereals all in the 50’s packaging, it's a baby pink shade with a nice blue trim which I think finishes off this vintage make up bag perfectly. It's very simple inside and is very easy to wipe clean if you have any makeup marks or spillages.

Retro Kellogg's Frosted Flakes Lip Balm* £2.99

How amazing is this lip balm, it would make such an amazing Stocking Filler present... The lip balm itself  looks amazing and sports that vintage 70's look complete with Tony the tiger himself on the front he he. The scent and taste of the Frosted Flakes lip balm is incredible, it does indeed smell just like the cereal, sugary, sweet with a hint of vanilla in there too. It's certainly a joy to pop on yours lips throughout the day and you can even smell it after you've applied it, it's greeaaatttt! (Sorry I just couldn't resist that he he). The quality of the lip balm is really very good, sometimes you can find that the idea of a product that looks amazing in the packaging can out way the actual quality of the product itself but this lip balm certainly works well. It moisturises and nourishes my lips leaving them silky smooth and it makes a lovely base for lipsticks to go over too.

Ted Baker Tweed Pen* £18.99

I find Men are always quite difficult to buy for at Christmas however I think a nice, good quality, boxed pen is a great gift for someone who maybe works in an office, is into writing or even for Grandads that like the odd cross sword or word search ha ha, and this Ted Baker offering is lovely. The ball point  pen itself is very masculine, it's made up of green faux leather, displays the Ted Baker logo around the middle of the pen, has an easy to use twist up function at the bottom and writes in black ink, it's also very well made and very expensive feeling as its rather weighty and feels great in quality.  The pen is then housed in a lovely tweed effect gift box which add's a nice touch and keeps the pen safe if he wants to keep the pen for special occasions.

Cream Microwavable Hooty Owl* £9.99
For children or adults is this adorable microwavable hooty owl, I think the cute little owl is nice to give to someone who really loves their snugly duvet days or if your anything like me, I like to pop him in the bed to make the inside of my bed nice and warm before I get in it ha ha. All you have to do to make him nice and toastie is simply pop him in the microwave for two minutes, its that easy, afterwards he'll be nice and warm and smelling of delicious French Lavender. The Hooty Owl's are actually available in a variety of different colours so whether your buying for a boy or a girl every ones a winner.

Have you nearly finished your Christmas shopping beaut's?? I'd love to know!
