BARGAIN ALERT! Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish Duo Review

Hey beaut's!

I'm pretty sure all of us beauty bloggers appreciate a bargain or two from the Fragrance Direct website every now and again but recently I came across the bargain of all bargains that I just had to share with you all... The bargain in question is the Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish Duo's that are just £1.50 per duo, total bargain or what!

Each duo comes with a full size Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish in whatever shade you opt for, at the moment Fragrance Direct have 13 shades to choose from ranging from some pastels, brights and quite a few deeper shades perfect for the up and coming Autumn/Winter months, the second part of the duo is Rimmel's Stronger Double Duty Base Coat which is great for prepping your nails before you paint them.
The shades I opted for where Celebrity Bash* a gorgeous, deep berry red and Night Flight* a solid, dark Aubergine shade both of which I thought would be perfect for the Autumn! It's far to say these duo's work amazing together, I like to start off by applying a thin layer of the Stronger Double Duty Base Coat, this provides a smooth, even base for the nail polish to sit on, protects against nail polish staining on the nails, helps your nail polish to last alot longer and strengthens the nails at the same time which I do believe works, my nails are short, square and brittle so they break and snap very easily but when I use the Stronger base coat it turns my nail base hard and alot more durable. Both of the Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polishes that I tried are amazing in quality and have a lovely formula, they apply smooth with no bubbling or streaking what so ever, I found two coats was enough for these particular shades to be completely opaque and they both dried relatively quickly too which is a bonus. The staying power was also fab, the Lycra Pro polishes do claim to last up to 10 days  which I cant really comment on as mine lasted a full 7 day week until the tips of my nails where started to fade and chip slightly, that being said that's some bloomin' good lasting power for me considering most nail polishes only last me 3-4 days, the polish also claims to have an anti-fade colour system which I think is great and keep your manicure looking fresh at all times.

Overall I'm very happy with the quality and idea of these little duo's, how perfect would these be for (dare I say it) Christmas stocking fillers he he and for £1.50 a pop you really cant go wrong, I love them!
